I've seen some videos showing PinDMD displaying LEDs from older tables before DMD became common. So if PinDMD can do it, FutureDMD should also be able to do this, shouldn't it?

Hey Clark. anything is possible, I'm just not looking at that as feature as of yet. I wish I had more spare time. I am working on ironing out a couple minor bugs, improving efficiency for slower machines, cleaning up some shades that look a little off and adding some new features that will complete my cabinet (not meant to sound selfish but that is my inspiration). I like the idea of using FutureDmd for start up, shut down and in between games displays while in my front end. These are very possible and promising features that are going to have my focus for a while.

No hurry at all. At the moment I think it's only important to get the bugs out of the program. Especially the ones in STTNG and MM Gold.

Would only be interesting if FutureDMD could also provide the LEDs support like PinDMD? I mean if it is technical possible with your implementation.

Really dumb question.  I have followed the install instruction up to "right click on the DMD window" to move/resize.  Is that in the FP editor, or when the game is playing?  While a table is playing, I don't have a mouse pointer

I am completly baffled.  I am new to FP/VP but I have about 100 tables running well on my virtuapin.  It has 2 monitors on video card one and the DMD monitor on card 2.  The following instructions do not make sense to me: "After you run the FutureDMD .exe for the first time you will need to position it in your dmd window"  I dont think this means I needs to somehow reposition the .exe into my DMD DISPLAY, but I could be wrong.  In any event, FP never displays anything on my DMD display monitor.  It only uses the backglass and playfied monitors of the Virtupin.  In the editor, I can move the little DMD window provided in FP on certain tables (TRON, Circus V), but I cannot move that window to my DMD display.  Also, I have no mouse function except in the editor, so I cannot right click while playing a table.

Any help is appreciated.

don't run future pinball or your front end. Double click the futuredmd.exe, (that you put in your future pinball folder with the other files) the application will appear in the top left hand corner of screen 1. depending on your background it may be hard to see. Drag the running application onto the monitor you are using as the dmd. If you right click that window it will give you the resize options.

resizing is really strange..

i have my third "dmd monitor" at 1024x768 and the DMD always seems to be off 1 pixle line to the right.... so i always have to readjust the dmd to exactly fit this resolution..

annoying but hey - before this prog we simply had no dmd on third screen at all..

may i ask if this prog is still in development for squishing bugs ?

thanks a lot !!!

hey gogo, yes I will be continuing development for a while, this project has been a lot of fun but unfortunately I haven't had much spare time over the past several weeks to progress anything. I hate when the real world bogs you down :)

Hey Clark, Just posted version 1.1

I haven't had a chance to load them for a test but it should fix the tables you are having issues with. Let me know how they worked out.

Thanx for the update! :)

Unfortunately the card game in MM Gold 1.04 is still defect (same bug as before). But it seems to be the only bug - all other flickering seems to be gone.

STTNG seems to be ok but this will need further testing as I have not seen all DMD animations yet...

Thanks Clark, I will try to find some time to look at the gold version this weekend to see what is happening different from the ultra version. I'm guessing the card graphics are bigger than 512x512 which is currently the limit for resizing. Just a guess but I bet smaller card graphics were used in the ultra edition which is why it is working on my cabinet.

1.1 seemed to fix ball stutter on the couple games I tried.  Thanks.

What version of FPLaunch are you instructions for?  I was unable to find this line in the ahk:

	;**********************************FUTURE PINBALL****************
	if (systemName = "Future Pinball" && (executable = "Future Pinball.exe"))
	{

Is there a recommended version of autohotkey?  My autohotkey_L compiler was causing errors about trailing backslashes...

I'm using a the default ahk version 1?? from the hyperpin download that I have modified but if you are using version 1.295 which I think is the newest. Maybe? The line is just

;**********************************FUTURE PINBALL***********************************
if (systemName = "Future Pinball") {

I haven't tested it but if you enter after this line I believe everything should work. I'm using autohotkey 1.0.48.05

Using the right autohotkey made the difference.  Thanks!

Hey gogo,

Pirates should be working fine it is one of my testing tables. Are you only seeing the text or nothing at all? Which version of FP are you using or are you using BAM?

Thanks

weird, what version of pirates are you using? did you overwrite all the files (except your ini)  with 1.1 or just the futuredmd.exe?

do you have "disable GLSL Shaders" checked?

FutureDMD needs this unchecked.
