Even though you can run the kit with no dead zone, give it a try. Somewhere in the 5-8 range. My theory is maybe it's catching a bit of one direction before registering the desired direction.

what you've described is pretty much how it appears on a zero slope table, one direction will give the ball a consistent roll, the other direction will move little bit and then stop or only roll half the distance of the other direction

I think that's a park position adjustment. I'll look into it.

Jadflat, did you work out your nudge concerns?

Thanks for looking into that park position.  BTW, perhaps you've not seen this other message, would appreciate your comment on this.  Trying to figure out how the "tilt" works with this.

"The only issue remaining: tilting does not seem to work. Noah: is there something I need to add to the table script or can you provide an example of what the vp setting for tilting does? Ie: does that default number refer to the sensitivity nudging number?"

sadly no, I've tried re-mounting it a few more times, installed different versions of visual pinball, 9.15 and a couple of 9.16 betas, still the same thing, I can't work it out

changing the dead zone didn't help, the nudging is still uneven

Each table can be slightly different if you want to add plunger support. There is not universal code for this. Koadic's plunger code is the best, you just have to make the request per table. So what tables? I may already have code.

Let's try a few things...Can you mount the accelerometer box so it slightly tilts to the side it does not nudge to so well? So what I'm try to do here is see if it's a hardware issue. By tilting the box to the direction it doesn't nudge that well we are trying to physically compensate for the unevenness. If that solves the issue, I'd be deciding if you want to return it and get a new one.Other thing to try is this, but as a last resort.

Just try the DXTweak or DIView steps and adjust the center point AFTER the plunger kit has calibrated. Follow the instructions and adjust so you even out your nudge. Now understand that the plunger kit will reset each time you restart cause of auto calibration, but you can save your profile in DXTweak and load it manually each time you start the cab. All this defeats the purpose of the auto calibration of the kit, as Noah stated, but it may help diagnose/fix your specific issue.

I really miss the plunger on the addams family
So I requested that one also, Koadic just has been busy with other things...see below for full thread of tables

1. Nope, no plate. In fact, the plate may create more problems, as in Loaf's case. Best thing to do is use the screws and washers provided.

2. As already mentioned, that's a big question to answer. You may want to look here ... http://www.vpforums....showtopic=13655

I'm not 100% certain, but it seems to me each table behaves a bit differently. I'm not sure if the Sensitivity in the script is still being taken into account in the software or not, but I've had it set perfectly on one table, to have it tilt the next table too easily. Maybe koadic can shed some light on this?

@ jadflat - All I can say at this point is that I have not had this issue, and as we all know, some setups behave differently. If the crosshair in the Game Controllers screen behaves consistently to either side, it seems it would most likely be in the software setup.

You didn't try calibrating it, did you? You can try that, but be sure to reset it back to default if the results aren't desirable.

No, I haven't tried to calibrate it, I'll give that a go before trying to re-mount it on a different angle, I'm tired of removing the glass from my machine

I did not receive screws or washers either but it uses the same as the nanotech so it was no issue for me.

I've remounted it on a slight angle and it's much better now, it took ages to get it right, but I'm happy with it for now, thanks for the tip

We didn't start shipping the screws and washers until about the 15th kit.

Sorry.

The sale offer expired on 6/8. With all the updated features, case, and customizable plunger rod, I can assure you it's more than worth it!

Noah,

Is the 20 dollar off sale going to be around for a while? I want to pick one up just don't have the funds at this time.

Thanks

We'll be running it for some time. I'll give 'last call' before ending it.

I did not see you give it "last call" ?

Posted this on the Hyperpin forum, I think the issue is with the controller:

In Hyperpin I can not exit a VP or FP table with the virtuapin encoder that I just got. I've been using a keyboard for the last 2 months testing and 'E' (long and short) works every time (and still does) but Button 8 - Exit table on the controller does not. I ran joy.cpl and tested the button so it's not a hardware issue but software related. Any ideas?

Also in VP is there a way to increase the sensitivity of the nudge? Would that be the gain and which way to increase? (Right now it's at 150%)

Z
