How much work is it to get this working if you already have a licensed version of unity3d.

A friend of mine has a licensed copy of unity3d 3.5 i think

"it will all be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end"

It's not the development that's the issue, it's the distribution. He can't give out compiled executable stuff that uses external dlls without the license.

At least, that's what I remember from when this came up back in november.

I guess what i'm saying is. if my friend has a license, he could distribute exe files, but i have no idea of the process of getting the tables to load into unity

I think louizou should set up a paypal donation address for this - and then we can see if it's truly feasible to raise the $1500 for it.
I'd be happy to help donate to get a legitimate copy.

As far as any 'friend' who has a licensed copy, I would rather not see our site here affected by any fictitious claims - it's just not worth the risk. So I'd be happy to help donate to get a legitimate copy.

Thanks destruk ...

I would prefer that one admin of the forum create a paypal account ,and put the donations here ...

Then you could transfer that to my paypal account ,once the job will be finished and fully working

Once we see how well a ball can roll around a rendered table and if its good (heres hoping!) i would imagine the donations will come flooding in. I suspect this will be the deciding factor - i would defintely donate! Have you done many ball tests yet louizou or will you need to do a lot more programming?

I understand that , that's just normal.

Physics is already added to balls and all components i handle.

Just wait i add plunger and flips (one or two weeks of work i hope) and you'll have a better idea

ok, paypal is up and active for this - the address is:
[email protected]

I hope to have some extra money the end of next week to put into it. For now it's a whopping $1.50! - have to start somewhere.

Has anyone contacted the unity folks to see if they'd be interested in sponsoring the project, since this will be a not for profit venture? Maybe they'd be open to a reduced license fee in exchange for some publicity? Either way I'll be donating.
