Does anyone know if this works with Oculus Quest with the LINK PC cable?
Yes, it does.
Caligula it is so awesome to see you back in this thread. The work you have done on VPVR is amazing and definitely contributed to me selling my full size cabinet and building a PinSim instead.
FYI, DJRobX posted on Facebook that he was looking at bringing VPVR up to date with VPX 10.6 patches. I'd hate to see duplicated effort on something like that, when it could be applied to something else.
Indeed - if Caligula is spooling up to work on this, I probably will back away from it. I am pretty far from having a workable debugging environment; none of my machines except my pincab support OpenGL 4.6 and debugging via VNC isn't my idea of fun.
I only considered doing so because it seemed like there wasn't work being done.

Thanks for confirming before I drop $500 on the Quest. I have a PC with a decent video card and I want to program my X-Arcade Tankstick as the "PimSim" . However, I really like the idea of being able to play wirelessly, even if the resolution is a bit lower. Add Chromecast and my friends and I can trade off the headset but still see the action. I am so excited!! I'll have to build base with some force feedback and get things really rocking!

@Rawd: Going to try your Space Station today.
@ senseless & gear323 : You guys are on a mission! These days are like christmas and birthday together, almost everyday. Thanks for your great work!
g5ks AfM, cftbl, The Getaway, Flintstones, F14 & Funhouse next?
Some random thoughts: The Tron is so great. Would be even more immersive, if the cellar hole was 3D. Is it easy to fix?
I love the Spiderman Vault, unfortunately the villians are in 2D. Would be awesome if we had those in 3D.

BlindPeser... AFM was working (sort of) with the old version of VPVR, and I had put life sized aliens in the room that reacted with the table aliens. They were kind of neat, but also distracting lol. It was long ago, in an old 3rdAxis room.
Unfortunately, the new VPVR puts the DMD small, and behind the backbox. I REALLY wish I could figure out whats happening with these DMD's, and how to place them in some tables... Some work, and some don't. AFM would be great to have in VR.

And something else: Can a owner of an AMD card validate if the latest 20.1.2 drivers work with RGBA16F selected under VR Options=> Performance and Troubleshooting?
Hi Caligula,
I just updated my AMD driver to 20.1.2 to check it out. VPX_GL (10.6.0 3725 32 bit) is running fine, using RGBA 16F and all the three options (Blit, BlitNamed, Shader).

Does it have a textbox DMD? If so remove it in the editor.

Something else has just come up...
On Some Senseless tables, I was seeing extra siderails in VR. I discovered that this is because they are coded to appear in Desktop mode. He told me that he uses 'Always use FS backdrop settings' in his VP settings, and therefore, this is why he is not seeing the coded extra siderails.
If this is the case, then he will not be seeing the floating scores in Space Station. I did not change this part of the code in the table, because I didn't want to go modding all of the original script. I think I saw some other desktop specific code in there as well...
What are the benefits to running VPVR in FS Always mode? Should VR tables be made and coded to work in FS mode only?
Is it because VPVR shares its registry settings with regular VP, and so people who play VR on their cabs are going to be majority defaulted to FS mode?
Thanks for any info.

Rawd,
If the table is using a textbox for a DMD you should just delete it and use a flasher. You can make the flasher whatever size you like but the easiest thing to do is go to one of the tables like Addams Family VR or another table like the latest AC/DC or black knight 2000 etc. table and copy and paste "Flasher1 to your table. Then you can move and resize that flasher on your table to put the DMD in the correct place and size. If you copy the flasher it will already be almost in the correct position automatically and the correct size.

Thank you.. I have tried this, with multiple different ways to try to code the flasher to work.. But I'm getting nowhere in AFM.. I see the flasher, but the DMD is never displayed to it. I tried adding this code that Sensless mentioned in another thread....
Dim DesktopMode:DesktopMode = Table1.ShowDT
Dim UseVPMColoredDMD
UseVPMColoredDMD = DesktopMode
Dim VarHidden, UseVPMDMD
UseVPMDMD=true
VarHidden=1
But it's just not working. - COnflict erros with other code in the table. I got around the errors, but it still just isnt working.

This is why I think VPVR is light years better than FX Pinball.. As avid Pinball guy, VR Pinball to me is about the feeling of playing real pinball..

I built my Stubby cab for FX2.. and played it about 3 times. The physics drove me insane. VPVR is amazing. FX3 on the other hand has great physics, and Im hoping to see a VR version of it.

for people like me that use their desktop (not cab) to play vpxvr and want to use the oculus touch controllers instead of keyboard....here's how i have my oculus touch controllers (im using oculus quest) working with vpx-vr.
it works using a 3rd party util and an ahk.exe to simulate a joystick that vpxvr can use.
right analog stick is for plunger. right controller twist is right-nudge, left controller twist is left-nudge. right index trigger for plunger key if button plunger.
coins (B) start game (Y) left thumb stick press (exit game)
there's a readme.txt inside zip you need to read first if you want to try it out...

Cant say anything about the floating points. But the information above is very helpful. Thank you
When I want to play wide body tables, I have to change the scale in the VR settings from 55.0 to 63.0/64.0 to get the table in the correct size. Seems like senseless doesnt need to change the value. Does anybody know if there is another option that has to be checked/unchecked, that lets VPVR provide the correct table size automatically?

Have you tried with freezy's dmdext and activate it via F1 and select "use external DMD (dll) ?
A couple tables do not work with the regular "show DMD/Display window" even when the code stated above and flasher object is used.
Edit: well, at least I also cannot figure out how they work. So I use the ext. DMD option instead which looks also nice.

In options "keys, nudge and dof" try to bind a key to reset with position. Bind the key in the lower left option "room rec" to your gamepad or keyboard.
This is for ingame resetting your viewing position.
In preferences-VR options- table setup the "scale table to width" should be deactivated.
I have scaling on 1 and VR slope on 6.5.
Everything else will change automatically once you reset the view.
So, you should not have to edit manually anything else to get correct table sizes.
The table should be always perfectly displayed automatically, even if you use these super wide body tables like Paragon.

OK nice, going to try this. Already have a position reset button on my pinsim. Will try your settings later today. Thank you
