just had a thought for the guys buying red displays over orange to save $100.

didnt see this in another post, so sorry if its been said.

how about a yellow transparent film?

red and yellow make orange. of course, the yellow would have to be the right shade....sparky

The regret is not that its "red" it's that its not quite as bright I think. Still, at the price they've been climbing, I'm just happy to have one. Later, I might just get a plasma DMD and put that when Russ' dad's board is ready.

No regrets here.
I have mine running right next to my real pinball machines.
I love the red color and can't see much brightness difference at all.
Next week I will have AC/DC in red, my virtual pin in red and Addams Family and Twilight Zone in orange.
Could not be happier with my choice to save the money.

Thanks. My two Pinball 2000's are moving out for the AC/DC to arrive.
I have had over 100 pinball machines come through my house at one time or another.
I love shopping them out and sending them on to good homes.

WOW these led dmd's are fussy when it comes to timings lol, just spent the good part of 8 hours trying to figure out why my fpga code i wrote few years back was not working with the led display, and it works perfectly on my plasma version

to the point i even stuck my pinDMD on a logic analyser to compare it to the fpga output lol (wish i did this 8 hours earlier lol) only to find one signal was LITERATELY 3 clock cycles to early!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

just that one mistake stopped the whole damn thing from working, crazy seeing as the plasma doesn't seam to care lol

ah well got it working now yay smile.gif time to get the USB side / custom frame shading working now smile.gif
hopefully havea 4/16/ maaaaybeee 32 shade demo working tomorrow smile.gif

ebarlow99, That is a super nice cabinet.
My hat is off to mameman23 for constructing it.
Should be a challenge but it looks awesome.

Hi,

I didn't have time to test the new firmware, but I have seen the pinmame 2.5 is now available.

Is it a big work to have your pindmd added in this new version?

Cheers
