REALLYNice look for the front page!!!! thanks,
I see you got to manually edit the necessary cells, You are only a step away from having all scores posted,not just high scores, but everyones only once..... and sorted by columns or rows. I made a sample spreadsheet using excel also
a unsorted and a sorted view. most of the scores I copied and pasted and are in different orders. You can link two columns when sorting, but I felt the need to add either the individual names with the scores or better yet the three alpha letters that you would input into the grand champion score... for example 23,567 GAG at the beginning of the spreadsheet you could have a legend that relates the 3letter alpha signature to a player's handle/alias/name GAG = ANDROID etc. It is real important for sorting to make sure the numbers line up vertically in each cell though. I started with 100billion and hit space bar once to get to 10 billion. hit the space bar again to hit 1 billion and four times altogether to list a typicall 100 million game etc.

When a new game comes up you can enter it at your leasure and place them in alphabetic order simply by adding a column by clicking on the letter and adding a cell it will bump all the other letters up one place. Everytime someone posts a score you can scroll to the right alphabetically and enter the score at the first available open cell vertically down. you then highlight the column letter "C" by left clicking on it, then....click Data/Sort/ it will show the column "c" click on descending, the next two options you can leave blank, then check HEADER ROW and click oK and it will sort that column automatically. After awhile it will automatically list the options in sort you want, that is the initial setup for each column. and keep entering the scores per table with the numericalpha numbers. Here is a sample of unsorted

and a sample of sorted all by using three clicks after entering!

You really shouldnt change the letters(columns) or rows(numbers) because they are usefull when you need to sort and if you check out what I did with first box for game and place you will understand. OF COURSE there are a hundred ways to 'skin a cat' or so they say, and the whole deal works horizontally as well, but numbers are usually listed verically by columns, so that is the way I learned.

I am not saying you Have to change what you have done, by listing all scores, I only wanted to help you understand excel a little bit. you can write little programs that will sort columns or multiply columns by, example 100 points x column 1 75 x column two to see who amasses the most points per place for example places 1 through 25 or 15 would get decreasing numbers from 100

Place
1st = 100points
2nd= 65 points
3rd= 50 points
4th= 40 points
5th= 37
6th= 34
etc etc etc.

I once listed my entire music cd collection, 1,200+ on excel by artist, album etc. and about three months later lost it in a crash, so dont forget to backup your list with a duplicate...leaderboard1 or leaderboarda and keep a backup handy just in case you wipe something out!!

I have used excel a few times, but I am not an expert, my wife is REAL good though so, any problems occurring could be solved pretty quickly. drop me a message if you would like any tips, or I can call you back I have free long distance within the USA smile.gif
