I'm not sure how this is going to look, perhaps I should not have rotated the video...

Looking good Todd. Dont you just hate the way VP tracks the ball in fast movement down the table in FS mode. I hope this can be modded in future releases to give a smoother movement for the ball when moving at speed

huh?!? think.gif it's a compressed video, anything you think you're seeing here, is fake... youtube video's are not representative of what is really happening, ever.

The ball never stutters in "pure" vp9... when I play the video back on the camera itself there is no stutter whatsoever.

The ball only stutters when:

-pinmame and MANY drop walls are used together for lighting and/or animation effects (combined) and it takes a lot of them combined together to cause the ball to stutter.

There's nothing to see here, move along...

EDIT: I was partially drunk when I wrote this reply.

I think any stutter you see is from the video. There should be smooth movement in VP9 if you have a good video card. What are you seeing Lettuce?

Todd...you are the coolest...

I've only ever played High Speed 1 once and The Getaway is my favorite table ever.

One thing i noticed was a small detail on your spinners, I actually just got home from Toronto (my fiance lives in Scarborough) and was quite impressed that you used Don Valley Parkway (took the 404 to and from Keswick on Saturday), the 401 West (just got off that not even an hour ago) and the QEW (haven't been on that in ages but whatever).

Are you planning on keeping those? If not when you release the table could i get a copy with them spinners? That would be too cool

Looking good.

Super....

When playing a FS table, when the ball is moving at speed it is blurry and hard to track with the eye, it doesnt stutter, it just doesnt look at smooth as when the ball is moving at slower speed. Have a look next time you play on your cab. Its appearently a limitation of VP, the refresh rate of the ball spirte and the way in which it is layerd in VP

Since this has nothing to do with High Speed itself and is a VP issue, why not post it in the developer section? Document the issue as best as you possibly can, using screen-shots, video, and the procedure to replicate the problem. Then make a post as a feature request and/or improvement to VP. You never know, it may be a bug that they can fix.

Todd.

Yeah i didnt mean to suggest it was a problem with your table, as its not. I did put a post in the request and development forum, but had not replies. It very hard to document it as you said yourself youtube doesnt help highlight this problem very well

I don't suppose you'll consider sub contracting for a beer, to have Ottawa signs installed instead of "centre of the world" Toronto signs?

Seriously Todd; that is one fine looking WIP you have there, super well done; looking forward to playing it.

Thanks! The playfield signs are the only ones that are "permanent", I will be including the American signs (from the original) in the Table file so that people can switch the images on the spinners if they desire. (thanks goes to pinuck for creating them in the first place! biggrin.gif )
