i have em already, both SWEP1 and RFM, so.. .. :)

nice I only have RFM, but there is a SW about 1 hour from my house with I play once and a while.  Really love the sound track on RFM.  how often do you play SWEP1 and how do you compare the 2?

on another note toxie: how would the windows 8 3d desktop work with VP if at all or very similar to what you added?  I have a spare SSD with windows 8 for my pincab, but forgot to play with that option.  I replaced the win7x64 which works great for your 3D stuff, thanks

I think the stuff in VP in 3D is totally amazing! and if I change a few options, no flipper delay unlike the delay I have experienced in Zen3D with PS3.

my 3D glasses (shutter rotated)

Hi.

I successfully enabled the 3D option on my cabinet and it is absolutely amazing!
Here is my setup and some tips for those who want to give this option a try.

I´m using:

-Windows 10 x64
-Visual Pinball X 10.7 beta
-Samsung 3D TV 46" model UN46f7500
-Samsung 3D glasses model SSG-5100GB (actives)
-Passive generic glasses

Due to the use of the television in portrait mode, the original glasses cannot work correctly, so I decided to remove the glasses (the plastic really) from some discarded passive glasses and place them on the ones from the Samsung SSG-5100GB, right over right and left over left and fixed them with some transparent tape. I tried putting glasses next to each other directly on my face but it didn't work and I don't know why, but removing the plastics like I said works great!

I opted to left the lower part of the plastic lens not glued just in case they need to be cleaned.

Cut them to imitate the way of the 3D glasses and that's all.

On the TV:

Of course, you have to enable the 3D option on the TV (really?! ...)

On Visual Pinball:

I'm on Visual Pinball X 10.7.0 Revision 111
If you have enabled the "Alternate Depth Buffer processing" option, 3D will not work, at least that happened to me.
For the other 3D options, see the attached picture.

Enable/Disable the 3D option pressing F10.

I don't have any other experience with any other TV brand but you can always ask me for help anyway.
I hope it can help to others.

I have unsuccessfully tried this with the Sony Playstation 3D Display CECH-ZED1U

Rotating the TV into portrait renders the active glasses useless due to the polarization of the screen and lenses.

The 3D works fairly well, if you can stand playing a full screen table horizontally.

Thanks guys for resurrecting this old thread and testing 10.7 with stereo3D!  :)

I still remember the first prototype experiment i did on my 3D TV with Addams Family running in VP9.X and god-awfully slow.   :)

That happened also to me until I resolved it with an extra passive polarized glasses, just take a look at my pictures!

You will never want to play at 2D again believe me.

'hanks guys for resurrecting this old thread and testing 10.7 with stereo3D!  :)

Now it works very fast and the 3D effect is amazing.

I've got problems with the "Alternative Depth Buffer processing" on Visual Pinball video options, if I enable it, 3D doesn't work. Is it a bug to report? To who and where?
