Of course it will. And some other guy - probably not as good as JP - will create a script for Magic Girl. It's just a big disappointment to dangle this in front of us and then take it back.

The attention to detail is astounding!  You even show the different layers of the plywood in the insert holes!  All of the models look super hi-res, too.  Well done!

I didn't! I was made aware of the development of this thread yesterday. And there were our assets, in a build I wasn't aware it existed.

I don't own any assets, even if i spent a year working on them, unless it's a 100% original table obviously (and even still i kind of give it away once i upload it)

cause i am just recreating someone else's assets that i don't own

So if i make them then they just magically exist for whoever wants to use them, unless the actual IP owner says different of course.

 

I don't care if they use them to make a vpx thing, and fp thing, a vpe thing or what not.

Long as they don't use them to make child porn or something, or charge people money for them i dont care.

Heck if they released before me, Cool, maybe theirs will be better, less work for me.

I don't know if your thinking about it in the right context, if you spent a year making assets (and I know for a fact Freezy has been working longer than that on this) and someone took it all and built something else then released it without you knowing before you've even finished your project, you might be a little pissed off too. After its out there for anyone to download it's a bit of a different story but pulling a fast one (malice intent or not) seems to warrent the response here imo.

I never owned the assets, no matter how long i spend with them, someone else did.

All i am doing, is copying the Mona Lisa, it was already created before i picked up a brush.

Matt you dont understand something. This is the site that always complains about how for years their assets were stolen and then goes and makes a rule that anyone can steal assets. You dont own any of your work even if its a recreation of an existing table. If I remember right, everyone used to put a phrase in the release, dont remember if it was inspired by mod of to prove that they didnt actually make a recreation of a real pinball table, probably so they couldnt get sued. Lets act like we arent stealing copyrighted assets until we have done it enough for it to be ok. So if all these assets are property of Stern, Williams, Bally, Gottlieb.3/4 of the files on this and every other virtual pinball site should be taken down and never passed around again. Cant have it both ways. Either the assets are the property of the original creator or copywriter and they should not be here or they are the property of the creator of the present day artist and are inspired by other assets and the ownership should be respected.

Have you seen the bunch of screenshots on this topic?

I wouldn't have shown the table on both sites if I was aware of the harm it was doing. everyone using retroarch or a video game frontend uses some assets that I created. Well, enjoy! 

My goal was to learn how to use VPX. And MG is a complicated table for a beginner. I can take a screenshot of the table with precisely all the assets that are not mine. but what would that achieve?

I have sincerely apologized to the author.

@Wiesshund that's a noble opinion to have, and I respect that. I'm impressed how you're able to put your mind into a situation you've never been in or know all the facts about and yet still come out with a thoughtful conclusion. Hats off to you!

Easy, they are in my google drive, which is public, so if you find them and use them then i guess you use them dont you?

So when drik333 started this WIP topic 1 year and 9 months ago, he was not using his own assets, but was using stolen assets that belonged to someone else?

Well, I have been around a few years, so I don't get upset easily I only spent a few days, watching videos, just to see what the table was all about, I think it was worst for drik333 who spent almost 2 years building the VPX table. He made a small mistake by not checking who the assets belong to. As I understand, he thought the table was "abandonware".

 

Anyway, Freezy, we'll be looking for your table, whenever it will be ready, and by the pictures it will be great
