it will be interesting to see vp in the years to come, for instance if vp XV ever comes out. can it even go that high?  because it looks so good now its hard to imagine how much more improvements can be made.  but I'm sure it will.....

Very interesting comment. :)

Flupper has clearly raised the bar when it comes to accuracy and detail. Can it go higher...likely yes but will that new detail equal what we are seeing now? Hard to say.

The thing that I am wanting to see down the road more is easier ways to create this type of detail for all of the authors to take advantage of. IMO, flupper is blazing to path with new techniques and ways of doing things that are truly evolving the hobby. And are totally over my head. I am very thankful that he does perform small jobs for me and my tables. But for many of the authors to leverage these new techniques and add greater detail to their tables, changes to the engine will likely be needed to simplify the process.

If we can just make it possible for all of the authors to more easily leverage these new techniques. The quality of all of the tables can truly skyrocket.

The screenshots look amazing. Thank you flubber for continuing to raise the bar.  I know I sound like a broken record but now more than ever it's so important the VPX's anti aliasing engine is refined to output no or minimal jaggies. When you're playing tables like this, you dont have jaggies deter from the painstaking work that's gone into make it look as real as possible. It's like playing a pc game with an ultra high resolution character and then the textures for the environment are low resolution which make the high res character look less real and out of place.
