So, I should try to compress the table height until I get the ball spheric.

Similar Sound issue when I start the game I get this error: BASS music/sound library cannot load D:\.... \Music\bgout_Gargamel-Park-12.mp3  

 

I can get past that error to play the game, but it also freezes when i hit the 1 player button to get the ball.

 

again I can get past that and play the game fine.

 

After reading previous discussions I confirmed that my VP audio is set to Primary Sound Driver.

 

Disabling Play Music solves the issue and is a perfect work around but I would like to one day hear the music

Sounds like your VPX install is out of date, maybe an old bass.dll?

That is assuming that you have verified that you do have the mp3 file in question, and it is in the d:\visual pinball\music\ folder
and that it will actually open and play in media player

I do not have the mp3 in question.

 

I could have sworn I read that the author took the mp3 out of the latest update in the previous page

Being that the MP3 sounds like the smurf's version of ABBA
I recommend substituting ANY mp3 LOL

The game itself starts, it just doesn't give me the ball. The score pops up on the dmd like it was just waiting for the ball to be launched. Is there a way to manually spawn a ball in?

Have you accidentally adjusted the Z Scale?
cause the ball wont kick out of the trough if you do, jams and gets stuck if you lower it
and it flies out of the table into the void if you raise it

Also, just in case this is messing things up, I am playing this in my cabinet, not in desktop mode.

Oddly enough,  after tinkering with a different table, this one decided to work! Definitely one of my new favorites! The height looks a little off on cabinet, which is to be expected with the shape, but after I looked at the desktop view, I figured out what was going on pretty easily. Thank you jpsalas for making such an awesome table!

Love love love this table. such incredible imagination. Just one question. how do I change the background to black. It used to be black but now it's some sort of colorful design which sorta makes it hard for me to see where the table ends on the sides. Black was so much better.

The backdrop in the desktop view is quite dark, and it represents a forest by night. But do as wiesshund wrote to remove it.

sorry, but where do I find translite properties in the vp editor? I thought that was an FP thing. lol

Apparently I was in the right spot but for me I had to change the FS image to backdrop. I guess since I'm using a cab. all fixed. thanks!

Odd

FS image should be none, with color set to black, and that should be the outcome you get
