wow, that looks very cool.  I couldn't figure out how to record 1 table with 1.3beta, but when adding 1 table to the cab this would be useful.  Thanks for such a useful tool.

You got it all working? I am in stuck where you are, I am recording now and so far so good. Where do you get the pinballx animated logo for the DMD screen for non-DMD tables? I was all over game ex and can't find it, probably built in pinballx, I never looked in my own PC. I will see if this works first.

If it ain't broke, it's probably a good idea to take it apart anyway!

I just post here to hear myself type.

This utility rocks. Love it.

Works really well with my WIndows 7 64 bit cab, pinballx 2.12

Really adds a lot to the finish product.

Since PBXR uses Screenres.txt for recording, I created a ScreenRes.txt Check tool that loads up screenres.txt and lets you modify the values and it displays the Playfield, backglass and b2s DMD locations as you change them.  Attached here and included it in current PBXR 1.3 download

If anyone understands how to figure out the Backglass display monitor #, I can add that.  For now, you just set the value by trial and error, just like the original B2S screenres tool...

question. Is there any way to make this work for creating like a backglass video for MAME arcade games since that is the screen I play them on? Or what is suggested for creating those videos?

GTXJOE I loaded the screenres check but the playfield was being displayed upside down (opposite) Also, if you have any suggestions on creating the BG videos for mame games, please let me know. I'm guessing since the recorder uses screenres but mame does not, there would need to be a change in the script somewhere.

Thanks.  I thought I had flipped the playfield image but I guess i forgot to include it in the final release

If you are using PinballX for Mame, try temporarily setting the Mame System Type to Visual Pinball, and see if that works for recording

the recorder picked up mame.xml but did not record anything. skipped over it. I would assume the script would need to include info on executing the mame64.exe? not sure. I'm not very savvy with the
scripting stuff. Or would I need to change something in the attached setup for mame in pbx other than changing to vp instead of other?

PBXR checks to see if "tablename".vpt or .vpx exists before recording, so I guess that step will always fail for Mame and nothing will get launched/recorded.

Also the Table Path is used for VP and not for MAME, so this wont work without modification

First thanks for that great Prog!

For me the Table Images and videos are flipped (upside down), only the Backglas Pictures and Videos have the right orientation.

Did i something wrong?

Anyone out there that has a script for this? I tried camtasia but that dn seem to work b/c I get a blank recording instead of the game. Would be so much easier to make this tool work for creating the
videos for Mame. Otherwise, I may have to just settle for png images which stinks. If anyone has a script for this please let me know.

Another desktop user :)

I would have to add desktop support. There are 2 issues right now, PBXR relies on screenres.txt which many desktop probably don't have and it also rotates playfield 180 degrees for cabs

I can probably make quick fix tonight. What is your playfield screen resolution?

Here is a quick version for Desktop Mode users.  It's hardcoded to 1920x1080 monitor.  Playfield media is saved to \Playfield Images and \Playfield Videos folders.  Let me know if ithey need to be in \Playfield Images Desktop and \Playfield Videos Desktop folders, as I don't have a PinballX desktop mode setup

Just drop this exe in the PBX Recorder folder and run it.
