For me the video that I use on the backglass continues to play while the table is being loaded in the background, it will also continue to play during my game .. and will continue on table exit also if the video is large enough. So if there is a way to kill this process before the table is started it should work i guess but I will have to leave that to the more experienced. I think this is beyond the original question but i just had to try it.

I am having the same problem.  Backglass videos look great in Hyperpin.  But, when I choose a table, the backglass video keeps playing and UVP won't kick into gear.  The table loads up like normal, but the backglass video continues to play.  If I use a static backglass, everything is back to normal.  Is there a setting that I am missing?

Thanks in advance.

ok maybe i missed this but the videos must be in the future pinball backglass folder... I tried them in the visual pinball backglass folder and they would not show up just a black screen but the FP ones worked so I dropped the VP ones in the FP folder and they showed up... Wierd but it works I guess... thx :)

For those of you who are having trouble getting the back glass videos to work, you might give this a try:

****Before I get started here, I am set up for Visual Pinball in Hyperpin. I do not have Future Pinball set up to run. *****

When I made the discovery that Hyperpin table videos would play in the back glass ( way back in post # 1 for this thread ), I had a table video of Abra ca Dabra in my HP "table videos " folder. I made a copy of the Abra ca Dabra .f4v file and tossed it into the HP "back glass " folder. Then I renamed it the same name as the original video file (i.e. I got rid of the "copy" part of the name. By doing this, I had the table video showing up on both the table and the back glass. That's all I did.

So, you might trying making a copy of a known working table video and place that in your back glass folder and see if that works for you.

Also, I also found out that I do not need to remove the back glass .png file from the back glass folder. I leave the .png file alone and just toss the .f4v video and it seems to take precedence over the .png file.

One other important part the might need to be considered it that I have only made my back glass videos from DB2S files and B2S tables. I have not yet made any vids of my UVP back glasses and have no idea if they will work for me at this time.

This worked for me.  In fact, UVP wouldn't work without both the .f4v and .png in the same folder with the same name.

Thank you.

yes, you missed it....but to reiterate my experience....ONLY the tables that have the IDENTICAL description, the video must be in the future backglass folder.  if the description for VP is unique, i dont have any problem with the video playing from the vp backglass folder...
