Could someone list all the known VPX VR tables available, and include which ones have rooms built in?

Thanks a million..

Once some BAM experts get into VR, maybe someone will create a decent Front end Table launcher that can live in Steam VR Library.

Currently launching has to be done outside VR. I click on the table, it starts VPX VR, then I have to hit start again.

Anyone have a better way?

Maybe we should start a Facebook VPX VR Group page since we still don't have a designated area for VR.

Update:

Click here for new VPX VR group

https://www.facebook...22550378241713/

Cheers

Hey Wilson,

Oculus Link is supposed to be released in the next month or so.  Virtual Desktop will then not be needed since streaming to the Quest from PC will be supported directly from Facebook.  While even that probably won't be a as good of an experience as you would get with a a VR headset that is made for the PC, that will probably be better than what you are doing now with Virtual Desktop.

I wonder if that will help with the colors and contrast etc....

I guess it might be better than Virtual Desktop.. We don't know yet. However, I see no lag using 5G to my router , so not sure benefit of a tethered Type-C from Oculus.. Plus, I have successfully used a Cat5 cable using that instead of wireless with success...

Works great.

The new Oculus tether  cable "might" show different Desktop VR colors, but the the major difference in colors is only when using VPX VR.

So, still looking for guidance on bringing Environment slightly lighter, color gamma down slightly, and inside PIN table Light ups down all within VPX VR.

@WilsonB: can you try to use these LUT's?

luttotan6contr-50_t.png

luttotan6contr-50brightness+30_t.png

If you import these into Totan VR instead of LUTtotan1 and LUTtotan2 (F3 and then reimport from) and then set lutpos = 0 or 1 in the script you can test them on better contrast/brightness. They have less contrast and the second one also higher brightness.

Btw if you decrease the color gamma on these LUT's in photoshop or GIMP you can change that as well for totan VR.

Thank you so muc.I changed lutpos =0  and reimorted those two.  It did lighten it some on the right side of floor.. tiles are slightly more visible, but the bulbs inside table still bleed a little bright. Getting there, also helped with the saturation of intense colors on back plane.

Then it sounds like you maybe have some high contrast settings for your desktop environment? Or maybe even in the nvidia settings (color settings) or ...? Since I cannot replicate your setup I have no further ideas.
Did you also try lutpos=1?

Just ask g5k on vpinball for the AfM.

There is no official CV VR version. Maybe any of the guys here made one. Knorr or I will create and upload it soon. Check back in one week.

I Just tried the new 4K Totan table.  It really is a work of art.  Runs acceptably well on my I5 1070 system at 1.5xSS + Quality SMAA.  It's a beautiful table and to be able to look around between balls and be standing in an ancient Persian ruin, just works really well.  I just wish we had more of these full VR tables!  Thanks heaps to the developer, this is awesome!

Exactly, I think Axis's Contemporary Room with Adams family & AC-DC comes up there there as tops. Beautiful work.. Hats off to these fine gentlemen.  ;-) (Will research each table on main developer to give proper credit).

Hopefully, they will share with others in a Development section on best practices, how to , etc..

Personally, I am praying for Funhouse, Gorgar, Centour to be next... ;-)

I created a Facebook Group specifically for VPX VR folks. Talking to some folks about a devoted website also for uploads and organizing. It's an easier place to post quick pics and related stories.

https://www.facebook...22550378241713/

All this might come to fruition on this website anyway when VR is integrated into VPX ;-)

I got no facebook account and I dont want to have one. VPforum should stay the main place to discuss VPVR. I have to talk to Toxie if we could have a small subforum here and be allowed to mark some tutorials and a FAQ as sticky.

Don't quite understand the urge to spread this discussion to Facebook when we have forum(s) for that already.

I agree that the forums are very useful, but honestly the response is way quicker on facebook in my experience, mostly because people also answer on their phone and are usually already logged in...it also gets more personal and i have noticed the community growing because of it...and working with posts on fb, means you have a much clearer view of subjects and much easier to read feedback...anywayz...a subforum would be handy, then subjects wouldn't be scattered all over! (read through all the pages here and, it's hard to keep track of things imo) but in the end, to each his own i'd say, it's just what you prefer...

Fully agree. Not that we can't have both. Additionally, not sure you want the only forum we have here to be flooded with opinions and noob questions ;-)

Thanks. This is definitely needed here.

Thanks for all your work. Seems VPX VR is mature enough now with content to have it's own upload section on this website.

OK, I started to build a room around Knorrs Cirqus Voltaire. I am using drhotwing1s clean table for it, which is a mod of 3rdaxis TAF VR. Credits to Knoor, 3rdaxis and dehotwing1.

I made some progress so far, had to adapt some measures, the cab looks good now. I cant implement the script lines drhotwing1 mentioned, always get error codes. No problem I think, we do not need room animations.

Here are my major questions:

1. Where do I get all CV decals I need? I guess I can extract the backglass image from the backglass-file.

2. How do I implement the animated backglass?

This room is useable with highend rigs only. I get some micro stutter during multiball here and there. Maybe I have to decrease the resolution.

The animated backglass is easy in VR, if you examine totan VR, you can see how I did that.

Can you please offer some steps to achieve this? I've been trying to figure this out for quite some time. Also, by 'animated backglass' do you mean working b2s in VR?

Best Regards,

Jeff

allright, open totan VR or just totan 1.3:

go to layer 8

there are several flasher VPX objects there, all with image "flash"

if you search in the script for the object names (like "Flasher002") you will see how they are triggered in sync with the regular flashers (that's how that works in totan)

And no, there is no working b2s in VR, just my 3d modelled backbox (on layer 8 as well)
