Damn man! Trust me I am more than grateful for Stuzza's work. It's an amazing contribution to the community

The "gratefulness" doesn't show with comments like:

That's brutal man.

Maybe you meant it as a way to voice your frustration that one that you really liked isn't available to you, but it came across as though Stuzza was being brutal for not having it out there for free.

Also, when your posts start with some negative phrase, it sets the tone for your entire post.

Sorry if I misunderstood your comment.

I think he said that as a general comment. You know, like "Awe shucks, man".. not really meaning anything bad from it towards Stuzza, but he was disappointed it wasn't a freebie one.

Can somebody give advice on getting these printed locally. What material should I ask for? I am modifying one of the designs to fit my cab.

My lab here in Australia calls it 'Polymetric Self Adhesive Vinyl', once printed it is best they then laminate it in your choice of either a Gloss or Satin laminate (one is glossy reflective, the other not).  The thickness of the laminate can vary depending one what they suggest or have.  I wouldn't go too thin, as you want some decent protection, but then I wouldn't go too thick either, as they may effect how easy it is to put down on your cab.  Be guided by your printer.

This is an example of a satin laminate. See how it has a "sheen" rather than the direct "reflections" of gloss  https://www.dropbox....Laminating3.jpg

Can you or anybody else comment on this material: ORAJET® 3651.

The product page says 5 year outdoor lifespan. 70 microns. Getting a gloss laminate.

I'm not the guy in the lab sorry, but from the looks of it, it's for inkjet printing and not latex thermal transfer.  My lab uses the thermal transfer over the inkjet for this type of product... they have both types of printers of course, but I don't know why they choose the thermal transfer method??  I'm sure someone here would know the advantages/disadvantages of each.

I got my artwork and have started the application.

I'll update in a couple of days. I am applying the sides via the wet method so I am waiting a day in between applications.

I uploaded to the gallery yesterday but nothing has been approved. I actually can't tell if they're pending or not.

The pics are on imgur, but apparently those links aren't ok here. Weird.

As stated, that art was a custom commissioned piece for a forum member.  I can do a similar commissioned theme but customised to your liking.  Feel free to pm me for details.

Stuzza, thanks for making these!

Love the Futurama art. It was one that I was considering. After much debate with the family, I went with the 50s theme. I modified it for a few reasons.

-My cabinet is stubby at about 42" long

-The backbox is skinny and not tapered

-I moved around some art to make the speaker background and the monitor "bezel"

Just finished the outside last night. What do you think?

filejan16,110658am.jpeg

This is what the cabinet looked like when I started

filejan10,113656am.jpeg

I have also made some speaker grills, but haven't added them yet. They need paint. The old ones were cracked.

Thank you so much for the art, Stuzza. It really is amazing that you have put so much work into helping others here.
