No problem, rascal made the image for me (figures right?) haha.

Everytime I look at it I see Shang Tsung doing his Rainbow Friendship in Mortal Kombat 2.

Hi Rawd, I downloaded VP v9.12 and then this update to Triple Strike but the playfield has "dithering" or something all over it? Check out this shot. Is there a setting I'm supposed to tweak somewhere?

You will have to have Hardware Device Rendering enabled in VP. Go to Preferences, then Video Options, and put a check in Hardware Device Rendering under Performance. Close out of VP and reopen it. If this doesn't work, then your video card probably does not have what it takes for Alpha Ramps.

Hi Rascal, I downloaded the latest drivers for my nVidia 8400 GS and turned on "Hardware Device Rendering", and now the playfield works but the background doesn't. Observe:

I also tried turning on both "Render Shadows" and "Table Render Caching" but they didn't help either. Any more tips?

Damn, that's strange. I wish I could help, but I have no clue. sad.gif

The 8400GS is a pretty old and low end card, I am guessing that you need more video ram.

Whenever you make those changes, be sure to close VP9 completely, restart it, and load the table.

You're right! I changed the res from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 and now it displays fine. Thanks! smile.gif

could not find the thread for the older 1.01 and 1.42 FS.
tilts too easy then game over.
looked at the script.
typed tilt, game and game over in the edit search box then clicked next or enter all the way down the script.
not sure where in the script to change this.
at this time changed some numbers from 300 to higher numbers next to the L/R/Center tilt for direction and strength.
there is no F3 and F6 for the dips.
when you have time could you look at the script please.
would like to lighten up on the tilt sensetivity and game over to ball in play only.

- You could go into the table and find the tilt timer. (It is the bottom of the four timers on the top left.). Change the number to 10 or 20 from 40. This will speed up the timer to reset tilt back to zero (This will give you more time in between nudges without tilting so often). Tilt is a RANDOM number generator from nudging (between 1 and 200.. anything over 300 tilts.. and the timer takes 1 away from this number every 40ms.).. Because it is random, you never know when you will tilt. I know this is not realistic, but it keeps people from nudging too much.

- Or you could find the 'Sub TiltCheck' and change: Tilts = Tilts + int(rnd*200) to Tilts = Tilts + int(rnd*100) This will generate a random number from 1 to 100 instead of 200, and give you less chance of hitting tilt (300).

As far as changing the tilt from 'Game over' to 'End of ball', it would require quite a few changes I think. On the real table it is Game Over. Don't nudge so much!!! smile.gif

when i played real pb, bumped and nudged hard to get the ball to bounce away from the drains back into the playfield.
sometimes tilted.
if i remember correct on the tables i played on there was kind of like a contact gravity switch that was sensitive to movement inside the cab.
tilt to hard the contacts meet then tilted.
i dont remember playing a table with a game over tilt.
it was usually ball in play.

I have the strangest graphics problem yet.
Using Windows XP, VP 9.1.2, VPM 2.3, ATI Radeon 9550 256mb, 1.5gb ram

Here's what the table looks like with "Hardware Device Rendering" ON; note the swirled graphics on the table top!

Here's what it looks like when I turn OFF "Hardware Device Rendering":
