I think R4ND0M is right; the table uses a variable called rendermode to check for VR; I think this was introduced recently, so you need the 10.8 beta VR version of VPX.

Is there a change I can make in the script to hide the desktop mode DMD?  I'm using an external DMD and would like to hide the embedded one.  Thanks for the help.

Try pressing F1 while the table runs and uncheck the checkbox 'Show DMD / Display Window'.

Thanks for the reply.  I did have it unchecked... but I rechecked, restarted, unchecked, restarted and it's still showing in desktop mode.

You could click the backdrop button, and with Layer 1 showing, you will see the textbox that has the score.

You could unlock that textbox and move it offscreen.

Thanks, Xenonph... that works, but I thought there was a line in the script to hide these, in case I wanted to restore it (in the right position) later.

Go to LINE 80 in the script, and you will see this...

UseVPMDMD = DesktopMode

change it to this...

UseVPMDMD = 0

That's the one... thank you, sir... I appreciate it.  I'm having to re-learn a bunch of stuff after a years long break.   :dblthumb:

Flupper... can use your help... Do you know how to get the backglass music/audio to work in SSF? (many people have had problems with it not working... table sounds work fine)

Sorry, I have no clue, I don’t have SSF. I do know that sound can be tricky:
I run my cabinet as a slave from my workstation, so I have 3 screens connected and four possible audio outputs (all regular stereo):
1. My work screen with build in speakers through displayport
2. Playfield screen with displayport audio, connected to speakers inside the cabinet)
3. Backglass with hdmi audio
4. Regular speakers (2.1 speakers connected to motherboard audio chip), behind my workscreen (not used for cabinet)
The way to get the sound properly working is like this:
Before starting vpx first set the main audio from windows 10 to backglass audio in the windows taskbar.
Then start vpx and set the one vpx audio option to backglass and the other to playfield hdmi audio (I always forget which one of the two to backglass vs playfield in vpx audio options). That way the wav audio sound effects play from my cabinet and the rom sounds or music from the backglass speakers.
Anybody else got tips for SSF?

This table is fantastic, but for some reason the slingshots do not work. I'm using the 1.5 version on both 10.7.2 and 10.8.0 RC4. Any ideas?

Go to Soundmanager, search the assigned Flipper Sounds and rise their Volume with the slider

Still my all time favorite.
And with totan being unobtanium at > $10k this is as good as it gets.

Thank you so much!

Amazing game and plays great except, though this one seems to give me problems with the flippers getting stuck every now and then eithier in the up or down postition. Seemingly random. I have other 4k pinball games that run just fine. Not sure what is wrong or how to test how to resolve. I'm rather new the vpinball so this may be a vpinballx issue.
