JP,
I'm having problems with plunger....
Sometimes no contact at all with the ball to start play...
Sometimes only bounce the ball a little be and no start play...
I'm using FS version...
This is happening 99% your tables...
Are there somehow ajusts or fix to this?
Thanks Rossi

I only run at 1.35 ghz and a 32 MB card...there are registry keys to force SF Mode....it happened to me except the whole table was pixelated....unchecking the box didn't do it for me. I think Groni made registry keys to force it into SF Mode....give them a try it was the only thing that worked for me....
Here try these....

Yeah, I did that. It was the only thing that made the table load at all without errors. The side effect is the image problem, an dI don't think I can fix it without getting a better computer...

What exactly do those registry keys do? I can uncheck that hardware rendering box... so if those keys just do it for me it's no help. When I have hardware rendering checked, I get the error Cannot Create offscreen Surface. If I have it unchecked I don't see any images. Will those registry keys magically allow me to view the images?

Yes, those registry key do magic. Just quite VP, run the hardware off registry key, then run any VP9 table and you'll be amazed of how well VP9 perform even with the HR off. Remember to download the latest VP9.04 if you don't have it.
And it ok ok for me if someone want to convert it to FP. Even if FP plays like sh%¤# it does look really good, and one day the guys at Nanotech will incorporate new physics and ROM support for it
. Then FP will be a very nice pinball simulator.

Yes! The problem is that you have to have the HR off before loading a table. Normally if a table has HR on, then you have to load it in the editor, check off the HR, SAVE the table, quit VP, Start VP, load the table again and run it. Very time consuming. With the registry forcing HR off for all tables you just load the table you want and run it, I'm sure you'll see the images quite well. Only the tables which uses images biffer than 1024x1024 will give you washed out images. But all my VP9 tables should work ok.
JP
PS: I new it should work. I had the same problems with older computers, and using the registry key to turn off HR on them has worked everytime.

How do I slow down the game? I open V9.03, and it takes forever to load. It takes about 10 minutes, and than when I get to the game, the ball I can't see that much. In V8 which I use for all the other other games, it barely takes anytime to open them (15 seconds at most maybe), and I can see the ball perfectly all the time, and it's the right speed.

Update to VP 9.0.5 and see if that helps.

^I did that, and it still wasn't working, but I finally figured how to make it work for me. First, off I put the .hta files in the Tables folder, and I think that was really slowing it down by a lot. So, I took them out of there. Than, it loaded fast (to get to the windowed screen) but in the screen it was still kind of slow. So, I went to Edit -> Options - > and than under Colors and Formatting I Checked the Hardware Graphic Rendering Off under pf (Playfield). So, now it's fast -> I can constantly see the ball, and loads pretty fast.

the really oddthing here is when you create a wip (work in progress) sometimes HD clicks on by itself. happens to me quite often, doing weird things to the graphics on my wip's! then I must uncheck it, save quit then open the editor all over again. just like in the first version of vp9 it used to UNcheck itself making the tables unplayable. so 6 of one a half dozen of the other, sigh, someday it'll get fixed where it WON'T click on or off by itself.

If you open a table with another table already loaded, it checks or unchecks the hardware render box. Also if you clock new table, with another one loaded, it can uncheck the box (new table is like loading a table, and the default table doesn't have hardware render checked). Hope this clears up that confusion - it's not really checking or unchecking the setting by mistake. If you use the registry setting fix to permanently have it on or off, the box selection won't be changed from what you forced it to.

To Debbus: The error you are having is because you don't have a folder called "User" in your VP folder. So just create a folder inf you VP folder and call it User. Many non vpm tables (originals or EM tables) will give you an error without this folder, since most of the tables saves some data in this folder, like highscore, number of coins, etc.
To LostWorldPinball: The hta files are just a simple text file (actually a html file) to show the rules of the game. They are not loaded at all when running the table. They are displayed when you press the "R" key (rules key). They can never slow down the loading of the table.

Killer table JP!
One question: Did you mean for the Venom shot to drop below as a personal change? On the Stern Spiderman it deflects to the wireform ramp that feeds into the left inlane.
Otherwise gameplay and shots are dead on to the real table.
Outstanding job!

Yes, I did make like this, because I thought it was fun to let the ball just fall down to the playfield, just to make different from the other ramp shot.

It does make it quite a bit more interesting the more I play it. It kind of threw me a curve ball at first because I was used to the Stern table. I like it.

You don't say where you put the hta files instead, I am having the same issues of slow loading and stuttering ball movement while playing, unfortunately your suggestions for play speed did not work for me but would like to try the .hta thing.
I am having performance issues with this table, the ball stutters around the table.
This table is so good that I want to make the extra effort to get it to work even though I don't have any problems with any other tables, that was until I updated to vp9 at least but that's another story(not a speed issue). Anyhow I am running a amd dual core 3800+ cpu on winxp with 1 gig ram and a geforce 6150 onboard video card, any suggestions please, am I expecting too much to be able to run this table on a machine with these specs?
