This table is the reason I bought a VirtuaPin from Noah.

Thank You Uncle Willy.

Thank you very much, unclewilly, for giving your permission to upload the MOD, and thanks also to JPSalas for letting me use your textures.

I must also say that this:

QUOTE (unclewilly @ Feb 24 2012, 01:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Go ahead and release it
all my tables are free to mod

is a very altruistic attitude!

I have the file ready to be uploaded, but I've tried a couple of times to upload it without success (it seems that I have not enough privileges to upload files). I've sent a PM to Noah Fentz, but if anyone who can upload files wants to do it, I'll be glad to send to him the file.

great news MRC^2! laugh.gif
Can't wait to try this alpha mod!! Just hope that it plays well with the LEDWiz too! *fingers crossed*

Guess that the stutter issue was the problem when UW did the alpha treatment to the table which never got released cause of that!

Cool that you give full permission UW! Hats off! hi.gif hi.gif

If the MRCMRC's mod doesn't fix the top ramp, I was able to find a fix and have it working on my pc, so maybe it can be altered before finally being uploaded...

What it looks like to me is that 'DropRamp2' (bottom height=65; top height=80) merges into 'Ramp1762' (bottom height=155; top height=155), if you change the bottom height of 'Ramp1762' to match the top height of 'DropRamp2', then everything then works fine.

So, in summary, just click on the top ramp where it makes the sharp bend til you can select Ramp1762, then just change the bottom height of it to 80

Addition: I just went back and played with the table a little, and if you hit it just hard enough to get it up the ramp, it will get stuck at the lower end before it comes back around to go down to the whirlpool, so I have a few extra suggested changes... Ramp1763-change bottom height to 165; and Ramp1765-change top height to 165 (to match 1763), that way there will be enough momentum from the gravity to carry it through.

View my next post 3 posts down for numbers that work for me and fix it correctly (I think smile.gif)

This is great news!, As the ball having problems on the ramp was stopping me from enjoying the game more than the appearance of the ramps. Yes that would be great if MRCMRC could incorporate these changes if he hasn't already done so. Thanks to UW, MRCMR and you. Can't wait to try this.

You're playing tricks, my friend wink.gif

That is not the solution, since the whirpool must be only accesible when searching the girl. You have disabled the lower left ramp, enabling only the whirlpool access...

Yeah, just realized that, have never played this table for real, so I am still searching for a solution, although the "addition" I posted is still a good idea otherwise the ball can get stuck biggrin.gif

Gonna mess around and see what I can do, haven't had a whole lot of practice messing around with this type of stuff

(RE)EDIT: Ok, 2nd time around it seems these numbers work without issue... I hope

DropRampDown2- Change Top Height to 165
Ramp1762 - Change Bottom Height to 165 and Top Height to 175
Ramp1763 - Change both Top and Bottom Height to 175
Ramp 1765 - Change Top Height to 175
Ramp35 - Change Top Height to 150
Ramp21 - Change Top Height to 150

*well it was working, but now it isn't, still in the process of troubleshooting... smile.gif
(see below post)

additional edit: in addition to the script change to 'If Pcount < 12 Then' as suggested below by thewool, I would also change the timer interval of PTime to 58 (as I assume the timer interval is measured in milliseconds) to give a more accurate representation of the amount of power you have as the Full Plunge time is .7 seconds, and with total of 12 frames, equals about 58ms per frame update.

This looks totally ace!!! smile.gif

MRCMRC, it would be cool if you could fix the ramp in your released mod. You can also fix the plunger animation if you haven't already done so:

In the script change 'If Pcount < 14 Then' to 'If Pcount < 12 Then'

Scott, just because this is coming please don't stop working on your new updated version!!!! good.gif

It is not a height problem. The space between both ramps is enough for the ball passing OK. It seems to be a problem with the width of the lower ramp, too narrow for the new size of VP ball. My MOD is working fine on my cabinet, but sometimes it doesn't work on my laptop. So I'm trying to make the turn a little bit smoother.

Yo can test this deleting all the upper ramps and seeing that the problem is still there.

I spent the last hour or so coming to the same conclusion, although when I would delete the upper part of that bend, it would work most times, but sometimes it wouldn't. /Sigh

At least I am fairly confident I have found a fix for the issue though... been trying it out for the last hour, restarted the comp, restarted VPinball, reloaded the table many times and it still works...
Ramp1758 - Change Bottom Width to 70 (from 75, yes make it narrower)
DropRamp2 - Change Top Width to 70 to match above (doesnt seem to be necessary, but just in case)

Although, now that I can shoot the lower ramp, there is an issue with the upper ramp, and I am not sure if I caused it, or if it was there and I just didnt know about it because I didnt play the table much due to the lower ramp issue... I think I fixed that too, but I need to repeat the results a few more times before I post anything about that...

I am looking forward to this being uploaded too but I really want to see this ramp issue ironed-out first so that I can really give this table a full work-out nunchacku.gif

I just checked and I think I may have rights to upload this table once the ramp fix has been worked out. MRCMRC, please let me know if I can help you out.

Great tip. I've done that, and redo the ramp borders, and now the ball doesn't get stuck neither on my cabinet, nor on my laptop, even on the lower or the upper ramp.

Thanks a lot. I've already sent the table to another mate, since I'm pretty sure that the ramp issue is fully fixed.

Well, I was having an issue with the upper ramp too, but I think changing that to 70 wide fixes that as well..

DropRampDown2 - Change Top Width to 70
Ramp1762 - Change Bottom Width to 70

Otherwise when I get multiball and hit it to the upper ramp, it just kinda bounces back and forth between whatever little kicker there is and the bend, kinda like how the ball got stopped on the lower ramp.

For some reason I have only been able to verify this twice, as whenever I got multiball, one ball would just about always drain right away on me, so I was getting a little frustrated...

I presume you're using "debug" walls, aren't you? wink.gif

"debug" walls? I just adjust and play, adjust more if needed and play again, rinse and repeat

I mean that meanwhile you are testing, you can create walls where the ball can be lost, so you never lose it. When you're happy with the results, just remove the "fake" walls!
