I have found the error in the playfield multiplier. I was resetting the value, but I didn't update the lights. So the scoring was fine, but not the lights.

You were right about the EXTRA BALL. luvthatapex. I'll fix that :)

And while waiting for the next revision, here it is a preview of the second part of this game :)

The second part will be similar in the game play, but instead of visiting different towns, you'll be fighting different gods. The graphics are also similar, very much sand color too, but instead of being in a jungle of South America, the playfield now simulates the entrace of a temple/tomb. The playfield layout is similar, but different at the same time. The lock will not be on the ramp, but inside the central sphinx, with a big golden door. There will be several ways to open the door :) There will be 12 gods to fight (I have chosen the ones with shorter names :) ). These names are not part of the Serious Sam games, but since it is my game, I can choose the names I prefer :) The music will be from the game, very similar to this one, but without the jungle sounds :)

Well, I guess my wife is busy doing Christmas things :) I I'll see if I fix the small errors and make an update :)

UPDATE

1.2.0 Updated 26.12.2018
- Fixed the playfield multiplier lights not resetting for a new player.
- Returned flippers to the old physics.
- Added color to the UltraDMD as default, so the table will have its own color. The color resets to the default when the table exits.
- Fixed the Extra Ball not turning on the Shoot Again light.
- Added some DOF commands

I guess this is as good as it can get.

Dear JP, thank you for this interesting table.

I had an issue in line 372 with the sound of the right flipper.

Change PlaySoundl to PlaySound. Would not be surprised if that is my fault. If so, sorry :)

Here - the updated table crashes right away with this error.

displayscoreboard00_problem.png

As expected. If I changed my locale from Norwegian to English (US) it works.

I only changed this value:

from a "hard space" to a simple dot, then theUltraDMD.DisplayScoreboard00 will work fine. I guess it is only in Scandinavia that there will be problems with that "hard space"

I have reuploaded the table, :) You know... last minute updates :)

Ah. You mentioned it before - without me understanding fully what you meant I guess. Implemented and working great. Awesome !

You mention that you have color for the UltraDMD. Here they are white as usual. But, I might need to change something else. I normally put my UltraDMD on to my real dmd. And now, I see them both and are white. I'm sure I'll figure this one out. But, might be useful information for someone that comes after me.

Update:

I see that you enable the VDMD but never restores it to hidden if it was set as such. So, I've changed that here. But, I guess, it is kind of a good thing. Now I can just tell people that struggle with UtlraDMD not showing. To play a game for Serious Sam to fix it ;)

I see also that even though registry is set correctly - darkseagreen for the color. It doesn't change anything for me. Still white. Again probably related to my setup.

Yes. You have to put two files into your ultradmd folder. (xdmd.dll and dmdnative.dll )

It kind of depends one what dmd you've got to what version you should put there though.

You're the guy that bought his pin ready made ? I don't remember how your DMD looked like. But, I have a feeling it was a regular LCD. For that you can use Freezy DMDExt to push UltraDMD on to the LCD. There are several guides out there telling you what you need to do.

Serious Sam Pinball v1.2.0.zip errors after updating from 1.1.1.

Looks like it's expecting UltraDMD registry entries, or is it supposed to make them?

Should I add them manually?  Only had to adjust DMD settings for prior version...

That is a good point. I think that JP worked out from the assumption that the key is created the first time you run it. By your report, it seems like the opposite happens. If you never set it, it isn't created and then of course can't change it. In this case. Create it I guess.

I thought something like that, so I deleted the entire UltraDMD entry, was hoping it would see no entries and recreate all, but never did such. Are the above listed entries supposed to be in a sub directory of UltraDMD, or in the root, cause I had some originally in the root?

Might be kind of tuff for a normal user to be creating registry entries to use a table.

This is the registry I've got for after using it for a long time. I wrote this in order to help people getting it to show again - not understanding what hide meant.

https://vpinball.com...ltradmd-unhide/

Obviously it says something about x and y coords, it also tells something about color prefs. etc. All this is avail if you run ultradmd.exe on its own with a /c param ( configure ).

Yes, I thought those registry entries were created automatically under the UltraDMD installation. I'll make an update of the table to fix that.

I only changed this value:

attachicon.gif Capture.JPG

from a "hard space" to a simple dot, then theUltraDMD.DisplayScoreboard00 will work fine. I guess it is only in Scandinavia that there will be problems with that "hard space"

I have changed the settings like in the picture, but I still got that error. Any ideas how to solve that problem?

Thank you in advance and a happy new year.

Then just simply change the score routines, just find DisplayScoreboard00 and replace it with DisplayScoreboard. It is 15 lines after the line 1853.

I think I've found a small issue with the table. If you play more than one player and the first one qualified for either the ball save or lock. The next player has the benefit of not needing to.
