Has anybody else had an issue with the flippers not working?

If I don't plunge the ball within about 15 secs, when I do the flippers don't work.

Not a massive issue but I thought I'd mention it.

I'll take a look. I have never waited so long :) I guess it is the skillshot timer.

Nice table Jp- spring boarding off of the Stern version into its own identity!

I think my only possible critique is that some of the quotes are a bit long, but they are awesome so it all works!

Finally a Ghostbusters remake I can fully appreciate :D

Dear Mr JP:

How can I reset the HighScore......??

And: I tried to look it up in the script and I see: tablename is defined as   Slimer   and on the sub

Sub Savehs
    SaveValue TableName, "HighScore1", HighScore(0)

So: I expected to find a file calles Slimer -> somewhere.... but there is not. Also no Ghosbusters or something, not in the tables dir nor the user dir.

Can you tell me where this ghost is hiding :-)  ?

Thank you and btw: played your new updated version and no score-overflow error: great, Thank you, great table!

first, id like to thank JP, for this great interpretation of the stern table!!

if it is anything like your spiderman, and wolves of the sea, it will be played alot....

i have only just set it up, so i have not had time to enjoy it just yet...

also, thanks for returning after your much deserved hiatus!!

now i have a question for the community,

i got the backglass working, but dont understand why i couldnt get it working as easily as explained.....

im curious why it is now working, so i can understand for the future.

i am using table version 1.0.1

i used the method from MIRKIN in POST #54

Dim Controller
set Controller = CreateObject("B2S.Server")
Controller.b2sname = "xxx"
Controller.run

i am using wildmans LE backglass named Ghostbusters LE (Stern 2016).directb2s

after adding wildmans file to my tables folder,

i added mirkins info to the script, and changed xxx to the b2s filename.

i tried:

"Ghostbusters LE (Stern 2016).directb2s"

Ghostbusters LE (Stern 2016).directb2s

"Ghostbusters LE (Stern 2016)"

Ghostbusters LE (Stern 2016)

but none of these worked as it probably should have.

i finally got it working by leaving "xxx" in mirkins script, and changing wildmans filename to:

JP's Ghostbusters Slimer v1.0.1.directb2s

again, id like to know why this is, so i can understand why it works for future releases, and hopefully get it set up the way mirkin had explained..

thanks/sparky

Excellent game and proof of why JP is a master table builder. :dblthumb:  I don't have any problems with the table except when trying to launch it thru pinballx front end. Has anyone seen this error?  Attached File  Pinballx error.png   192.43KB   14 downloads

@SPARKY70, to get DirectB2S backglass work, you always have to set controller to B2S.Server AND have the table and backglass filenames match (or almost match).

The controller.b2sname="xxx" is used by B2SServer to store directb2s settings in the B2STableSettings.xml file.  For example if you changed the backglass to Fantasy mode or Hide the DMD, you would see an "xxx" entry in the xml file with those settings

I have not included any spesial routine to clear the highscores, but you can reset them like this:

- Open a debug window (press "D" and click on that ">" icon to open the full debug window)

- write highscore(0) = 0 and press the Return key

- do the same with highscore(1), highscore(2) and highscore(3)

- write savehs and press return

Also if you want to use coins, open the script and find the line 130:

bFreePlay = True 'we dont want coins

and change it to

    bFreePlay = False

The table is both fun and  very addictive; thanks.  There still is a minor scoring refinement needed.

Bumper2 & Bumper3 Hit routines use the  Bumper1Light.Visible variable  as a factor (lines 3442 & 3447).

Although it escapes me why, when Bumper1Light.Visible is True, it makes the 4500 term negative (definitely miss type casting).

Obviously spending way too many hours playing this table. :)

Thank you Mr JPSALAS, I'll do that.

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours to figure out where the values are stored when closing the table and being loaded from when starting the table.

I couldn't find it.... so, can you reveal a tip of this Ghost for me?   (I promise you, it won't slime you though!!  :bad:  :throw:

Thanks in advance,

The highscores are store in the file VPReg.stg in the folder USER inside your VP folder.

UPDATE with DOF available for download!!

Arngrim has added the DOF commands to version 1.0.1, and I have upload here. So if you have a cabinet you may download that version instead. But since it uses the controller.vbs file it also works for those without DOF, and it even works if you only play desktop versions, like I do :)

And I have a question for you: do you think it is too easy to get multiballs? For example, when you get Storage multiball, the lock light keeps on so you are able to build a new multiball while still on the multiball.

I know real pinballs don't do that, but I thought it should be nice, just to have more fun, but is it too easy? What do you think?

I'm not seeing where to set controller for b2s   I've scrolled through the script several times. What line can I find it on?

Thanks for the DOF update

For me the multiball is not to easy to get. I like it to get a lot of multiballs and your table are perfect to get multiballs  :)

maybe have an option to enable and disable the remultiball?
for the controller, you set it on the menu keys and dof of vp, by default try to load b2s.server or end up with no controller (for non rom tables, the rom tables will load vpinmame.controller), or you can force to not enable b2s by the disable b2s option on that menu.
this is valid for all tables using controller.vbs and when using vp 10.2 scripts
