The table plays great Groni! I just got the Alien Invasion mode on this table 2 minutes ago! I've never done that before! :-) Thanks again!

Hi, I downloaded this table and the ROM from IPDB. But I am getting sound errors and the table just
sits there. am I doing something wrong? (VP 9).

thanks!
Matt

Having a similar problem. I downloaded thr ROM and placed it in the ROMS folder, and the game is not finding it. The ROM I used and the one the game is looking for is simpprty

Never mind. After fooling around with files within the ROM download folder, I was able to get it to work. Just switched from XP to windows 7 and am not yet used to the way file management works on Win 7. Note to Matt: check the individual files within the ROM folder to see that they match up with what the program is looking for

I was wondering if anyone has been able to finish the alien multiball on this table. I've gotten to it a couple times before and yesterday I did twice in the same game and it seems every time I get start locking 4 balls it loses one somewhere so I can never finish it. Is it just me?

I have had the same problem. There is something wrong with the alien multiball. You will lock all the available balls then the game cannot find one, it will sit there for awhile and then eventually kick them all out again (as far as I can remember...its been awhile since I have played TSPP). Not sure what the problem is but there are several users at the HyperPin forum that have reported this problem. I suppose since it is a harder level to get to, there hasn't been as many posts about the problem?

I may have encountered the same problem. Had a nice game going where I got alien invasion 2x, and indeed after the fourth ball there may be something wrong. I actually thought I completed one of them because at one point both flippers went dead and play resumed without losing the ball. I'm not really sure what went on just before that so it may not be reliable info. I'm gonna read up on the rule sheet to see what it actually should do!

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

I have a small problem that when the ball leaves the pop bumpers instead of going down the left inlane it sometimes goes down the left outlane. I have never had this happen on the real table. Also the skill shot is still too easy.

The game actually has 3 or 4 different skill shots. Which one is too easy? The hitting the post to the left middle standup target is difficult for me. The quickiemart skill shot is easy. For so many possible skill shot options I can understand how it'd be difficult to get all of them right.

Sorry about that, but my point was that the Quickie Mart skill shot should not occur when the plunger is fully deployed.

There is only one shot thats quiet tricky. The Comicbookguy Standup. You need a fine hand on the Plunger. The Kwik E Mart Skillshot is almost the same on every Machine. Full Plung! There are some usedup Machines, where the ball hits the target on a full plung. But since this is the lowest point skill, it´s very easy to do

Ok, after a lot of Testing and a couple of Alien Invasions, I fixed the Error.

The Alien Invasion is very simple, if you know how to play it.

First you have to lock 2 Balls. There are couple of options to lock the ball. The Garage, the Couch, Otto, Itchy and Scratchy,
After you locked 2 balls, a third ball comes to multiball. Then you have to lock three balls, after locking them the fourth ball comes to play
and you have to lock 4 Balls and so on and on. When you loose a Ball, you have to lock the last again. So if you have locked 4 Balls, and you loose a ball
trying to lock the fifth ball, you have to start with 3 Locks again.

So here was the Error. When you locked a ball into Otto, the ball is locked in the Kickerhole. When you shot another ball into otto, you may have luck that it jumps back to play on a hard shot. But if you make a slow shot, the ball gets trapped cause of the lockes Ball in the Kicker. So you cannot play on. I have deleted a wall, and maked some objects wider, so the ball can roll through otto, if 1 ball is already locked there.

Also I had the switches in the couch in the wrong order.

It´s all fixed now and I will release the new Version soon.

I also added new Slings and flippers, and also completley redone the Physics. Now the Game is much better to play.

I hope i get the things done today, and so you can start your ALIEN INVASION smile.gif

Just wanted to let you know.

Greetings
