Just curious, were you able to make the inserts?

I was able to find all of the inserts online (but you may notice I had to change from "arrows" to "triangles" for the orbit, ramps, and drop shots - couldn't find those in all the colors I wanted and matching geometry.

A quick pic of the lit up playfield - still need to get a few of the minor bubbles out, but otherwise it was a great success (some of the colors were a little off, but next time if I wasn't so impatient I'd have a test print done first, either way good enough for this stage!).  Just to recap, playfield was sanded, taped, primed, painted, inserts sanded and installed and glued, overlay was double printed onto a clear laminate and then laminated again for protection and durability.  End result - nice and shiny, looks like it's been clear coated and is very durable.

BTW - decals were provided by http://www.bowmansign.com/

Finished all the colors on the second rev of the backglass.  I think this one knocks the socks off of my previous version....  Can't always get it right the first time I guess.  Sometimes not even on the second try....  10 attaboys to the person who first figures out the glaring anatomy problem I corrected from the inked version to the final colored version - its OBVIOUS... not sure how I missed it on the pencils, the inks, and didn't recognize it until I had the colors completely finished and had to go back and rework it...

Looks great. I had to stare at both versions for a bit before I noticed the extra finger. ;) Totally fixed in coloring.

Ding ding, we have a winner.  (there are plenty of other anatomy issues, but we can all ignore those...)  Funny how something as obvious as an extra finger is so easily overlooked.  Now if this was a "The Princess Bride" pin I could've made it work!

Some major progress that just looks minor...  Completely re-did my ramp molds and re-made my ramps.  They actually don't look half bad now.  Also finished all the extra artwork for my plastics (moved the mermaids over onto the water plastic and created two new characters on the slings - a goddess and a warrior) as well as adding the boatman on the river styx near the right outlane.  Ended up printing them out on some cheap paper and sticking them on some plastic and machining them to get a feel for their size and position (gotta make sure they're right before I get them printed on good translite material).  Also got all the targets on the main playfield in place, all the ball guides are in, and even managed to find some existing wire forms for the skill shot ramp and the upper playfield return ramp.  Finished up the cab art as well. Getting close to having the playfield buttoned up pretty well to flip this baby over and start sticking all the hardware in.  Maybe have it flipping by mid next month... but I've said that before...

Will it be "done?"  I really doubt it.  Will it be at the Chicago Expo and at least playable?  That's the plan....

Wow. You got a lot assembled since I last saw it in person. Do you have any sub-assemblies put together(like the Zeus mini PF) for easy access?

I'm setting up a bare bones prototype just running off of the power supplies with relays and the switches to get things flipping.  Then I'll be converting everything over and wiring it up to be controlled by a P-ROC system with a bunch of driver boards.  Seemed a little more robust then just trying to do it all with a couple of ledwiz's and an ipac.
