Are you guys going with the alpha numeric display or would you like to test out a new DMD application?

http://www.hyperspin...DMD-coming-soon!

HyperDMD is an application that will let you create custom DMD and DMD animations for custom tables. It then will display the DMD on a real DMD or LCD screens. VP can send commands and displays to HyperDMD. Basically this can do almost everything that a DMD can do. The app is almost done. Just a couple tweaks and finishing documentation.

Just thought I'd bring this up before you got too deep into coding.

I'm going for the alphanumeric, since that is what I prefer, but I should like to test the DMD application. At first I could always use it as an alphanumeric and add some animations when all the script is finished smile.gif

Looks like an amazing collaboration gents good.gif

p.s. small thing, but is that a new rampborder texture, I like it smile.gif

Yes that a new texture smile.gif Also for the transparent ramps too.
Ok, the HyperDMD app should be released sometime tonight. We REALLY need feedback from table creators on this app. I'll post a new thread with the details of the app and the download location once the app is released.

Phenomenal, simply phenomenal!

Though let me bring this up again, if it isn't too late smile.gif

Looking at the ramp, I think it would be cool if the angles were a little more exaggerated and place kickers in each corner to rocket the ball through the ramp down to the bottom, to mimic the speed of a lightning bolt, (with maybe a sound effect and lighting flash at each kicker??) and you can throw a final one in near the end to bring it back to normal speed.

not trying to hijack the thread but Dazz can this be worked out to display in another window like pinmame does or is this strictly for displaying on a physical DMD?
If this can be used in VP to display in another window then youve just added hours and hours (albeit wonderful hours) of work for me to do.

Sorry; it's a cool idea, but it will not be implemented. I designed WOOLY so that I could build it in real life as well (probably part of the reason I think it looks so real in VP). Adding all of those extra kickers and switches on the ramp is not feasible for a variety of reasons. Beisdes, using ramps that slow the ball down slightly in multiball is a good tool for helping with ball control and ball separation- speeding up the ramp only makes it that much harder. smile.gif

Ah, of course! Those multiball ball control tools are always nice biggrin.gif

The app has been released, but yes... it can be used exactly like the pinmame window does. It can be shown on LCD screens, moved between screens and/or it can be used to display on those that have a real DMD as well.

On an LCD you can turn on Full Color mode which will display much like the ColorDMD does on real pins.

Excited!! This looks to be a very promising original. Love the quality of the table already! I hope it's angle-independent enough to make a FS version possible. I'm also very intrigued by the HyperDMD app that is mentioned. As a graphical artist you probably have it in you to make some really good DMD-art as well? wink.gif whistle.gif otvclap.gif

It just depends... A person can create elaborate scenes. However, there is a text feature where simple text/numbers can be sent to it.

Yes I made that ramp similar to the right one. But it is not the ramp which will be on the last version, since there are some special modes on that ramp.
Otherwise the table is coming along very well. I have had some trouble with adding the 4 players, since there are too many variables, ball saver, extra ball, multiballs, timers, ++ But I think I got it now smile.gif Stil there are many things to add to the script, so I guess that as soon as I get rid of the bugs it will go faster to add what is missing of modes, but at least I need one more month to complete it.
