I want one board also pronto wink.gif

Do i order from the website or do i do it here? Payment via paypal?

I am new to this visualpin story, did not know that pinball had come so far on pc.

I bought a Whitewater original real pin a week ago, and then entered a swedish pinball forum and discovered links to this visualpin strange thing wink.gif
Then i landed here. Instantly i knew that i had to build a visual cabinet.

Just need a dmd, but all places are out of stock exept a site i found with the PinLED 20002, but i would really like the vishay LEE-128G032-1
one not destroying your card if handled wrong.

There must be other manufacturers of these types of displays? CHINA anyone? wink.gif

The seg_data for the digit display isnt big enough for the extra 10 digits, so Medusa sends double the seg_data. That was causing double the frames to be sent (flooding the pindmd with excess frames and causing the flickering). I just looked for a value in the "extra data" frame, copied all the extra data to extra_seg_data, and not send a frame, so the pindmd wasnt being flooded.

I then used extra_seg_data to generate the 6 digits properly, which fixed everything smile.gif

We will be posting the source on the site, soon, for your enjoyment.
We just want to make sure we are as complete as possible with most (or all) bugs fixed.

If you talk to her again see if you can find out how many are coming.
I'm sure people here will want to know if they have to act fast or not.
With Russ making 100 boards or more I doubt they will be getting in enough. smile.gif

A completed pre-order might help convince them to buy enough... ;-) That is, IF they offer that option!

Speaking of # of boards...maybe we should start a running tally of Cabinets? It seems to have really taken off in the last year. I know there are build posts, but they are spread across at least 2 sites.

I ordered my Vishay from Future Electronics France a couple of weeks ago and just got an email to say expect a 13-15 week wait (mid-July)! Oh well.

On another note does anyone know if customs could hit me with a tax charge? I was under the impression I was ordering from a company in France but I just noticed on their website that the parcel comes from Memphis. I have already been charged about 20% tax in the order but I am not sure if that is for US taxes - I will take delivery in France.

After several beers I stumbled upon my credit card and ordered a Vishay plasma, hic! drunk.gif It's currently about half way around the world from the US to the UK. Only completed the order yesterday which is impressive.

... just don't ask how much it cost blush.gif

Should just mention this whole project is awesome and it's clear there has been some fantastic support so far from Russ, Snotz et al.

Aye, you should all get together and co-ordinate an order then! See if you can get a discount based on volume!

Surely there are other people that sell this part? They just sold a bunch, someone has to be making more than 8 at a time. smile.gif

I received my red segmented vishay yesterday and switched out my Orange one (which has a little ghosting on top of digits) and this one is PERFECTLY clear! Looks totaly awesome except you can see the different segments a bit. The red board I got from element 14 (newark) and received it in 2 days (under $300).

Vishay Non segmented board (notice the ghosting above each letter/number)
