Devs,

I found a bug with the ring, skirt and base Iindividual parts) for the bumpers. The base and skirt will NOT appear unless ring is also selected. I am trying to only show the base and skirt for a table with jumper bumpers, but I am stuck due to this bug. Might take a look at the individual parts for the bumpers to ensure they can be selected independently, of each other. Please keep up the awesome work. Its very appreciated. :)

hmmm.. hanzoverfist to the rescue then, please, he added that code..

Sorry I'm late to the party,  I will see what I can do, I don't have a 4K but I will try to fix this.

Request: Add 1440x3440 (Windowed Fullscreen) to supported display options.

done.. let me know if it works..

Beta 3455, 1440x3440 does not show up in the list, 2560 still highest visible setting.

First things first,

@Rawnei AMD or NVIDIA?

Does your monitor/video card support this mode natively in portrait?  or are you making custom resolutions?

@toxie Does DX9 support screen resolutions in portrait in ~4K? do you know off hand?

thanks

you might consider updating the Hankin.vbs file, it has the same credit key problem

and the start button for gts3.vbs file,  the start button on Super Mario Mushroom World and Strikes N Spares had to be manually changed in the table script in order for the 1 key to work as the start button.

1. is done, but how should i 'fix' the second issue in your opinion?

You guys have seen me reporting a few crash on loading tables. It seems to have become better lately, but still there are cases. Yes, at91jit does come to play at times. But, sometime not as much. Lets put it another way. Mostly it is SAM tables that this happens for. If at91jit is enable it happens quite regular. If I turn that off it might still happen though. But, yes, much less frequent. However. There seems to be a almost full proof way around it and that is to disable at91jit, but also start VPX manually and from there choose load. If you start a game by double clicking and using the association to vpinballx.exe it crashes. Once it starts to do that - crashing by double clicking. I can almost always repeat the action. It will fail again and again.

Since I know a way around it now it isn't that much of a deal - but, thought I should report it. And, yes, I've checked. The double click association is pointing toward the same version I'm using to load it manually with.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I can confirm this observation.  Loading into VPX reduces the chance of a crash to 0%.  I've assumed it alters the timing in some way and gives the ROM more time to execute. Pure speculation, of course.

That's not 4k resolution.  That's an ultra wide curved gaming monitor with a non standard resolution.

If it's a regular UHD monitor or tv it should be 3840 x 2160 and the latest vpx beta works just fine on that.

Would there be any way to include vptools(setdmd alternative) or even setdmd into vp? So many people have problems with ddraw when choosing exclusive full screen or just create the ddraw registry setting somehow in vp. Sorry just thinking it would be very helpful for new people

I've found a bug in cabinet mode. Set up to hide the ramps that make up the siderails and lockdown bar via a "if then else" regarding if DTMode is false. Running in regular F5, full screen portrait cabinet mode ("Use always FS backdrop settings" is checked, mode set to FULLSCREEN), they refuse to hide.

Run in F6 (Camera/Light Edit Mode), and they hide without fail.

I did some fiddling around, and discovered that if the Opacity in the material assigned is not active, then it won't hide in cabinet mode when asked. Once I toggled Metal0.8's opacity active setting to On, then the siderails would hide in both modes. Same with "Plastic with opaque image" that's assigned to the lockdown bar ramp.

Obviously I can work around it for cabinet work (duplicate material, set duplicate opacity to active), but figured this was actually a good one to actually post with.

That's the normal behavior. If you want to control an element via the script the element must be a dynamic element(opacity must be active in the material). Otherwise the element is static and is rendered once when you start the player.

OK, good to know that's part of selecting whether something can be changed dynamically, thanks. I'll make a note.

This issue comes up a lot on Facebook.  We've notice that 99% of the people reporting the crashes are running Windows 7.   I have not been able to reproduce, even in a win7 VM.

I can confirm if your on win7, and using Frezzy's 1.6.1 -1.7.0 DLL, all SAM tables will need at91jit value set to "0"

I can also add doing so I have seen no performance issues...

What exactly is that at91jit? And how to enable/disable it?
