Damn, is that the procedure now? Seems like such a waste to tilt right before you roll b/c you'll never know your top score. I still think it silly that the machines don't contemplate that some mortal (ha ha!) could roll them. You'd think there would like be a little blip or something...At the least in the hunt to roll over Magic (VP8) I didn't quite make it and have a HS saved. Do I just send SM my nvram file for verification to get posted on the official table? I always thought this was just more of a thread to brag to our fellow pin heads.

well, not sure how we (SM, he's the "boss") finally rule the competetion about the roll-over...
think the screen capture just before is not good, you have to TILT the pin and than save the score in the nvram file

btw, congrats for your score wink.gif

Sabbat,
I hate to take one of your records but here is a whopper I just got in Cyclopes. Damn do I love those Gameplan tables. Wish there were more of them about. Happy to send over the nvram, too.

Hi all,

Just upped my STTNG score with about 1.5B, so now it stands at: 9.773.468.800
It was a nice game, had a lot of extra balls (got one from level 6 of battle simulation!) but also needed them very bad...and a little bit of heartbreak at the end when I was 1 shot away from my second final frontier. Ah well, can't have everything but this score could have been higher....

RipleYYY,
Sadly, no. It was a nickname I picked up in school that sort of stuck.

Here are four more, one I just barely nipped ya Sabbat, I added Hot Shot by Robair ver.RC, a real popular 1973 Gottlieb em, and fun to play! The most influential pool-themed pinball ever. It can be found at IRPinball.
LONG LIVE GOTTLIEB EM's
More to come!!!!

GOTTLIEB Release quote!!!

After Gottlieb released "2001" to great acclaim, designer Ed Krynsky put his drop-game designing skills toward yet another Gottlieb pool-themed game. Gottlieb had a rich history of pool games to this point -- one many companies would be perfectly content with -- starting with the groundbreaking "Bank-a-Ball" in 1950 and continuing on to such classics as "Spot Pool" (1955), "Rack-a-Ball" (1962), "Roto Pool" (1958), and of course "Bank-a-Ball" (the 1965 version) Their last, "Target Pool" (1969), was a mild success in its varied add-a-ball and export forms, combining not only 12 pool ball targets, 3 pool ball rollovers, but 16 additional targets around the playfield. Since that release, rival Williams came out with a new angle on pool called "Solids and Stripes" (1971), where the poolballs were spotted with six kickout holes in the relative position of where they would be on a pocket billiards table. But Krynsky wanted a new and uniquely Gottlieb spin on pool, and he used Gottlieb's secret weapon -- the drop target -- to insure this game success. He applied the deep-bank philosophy of "2001" to a pool themed game, with two side banks of seven drops each representing the solids and stripes on a pool board. The central 8 ball was represented twice: once as a center top rollover, and again as a kickout hole which also served to open up the free ball gate. "Big Shot" (the two-player) and "Hot Shot", along with add-a-ball "Pro Pool", more than continued the grand tradition when they were released in 1973: their influence was quite apparent on many other pool-themed pins, most notably Bally's "8 Ball Deluxe" (which only had one 7-target bank), and three subsequent Gottlieb/Premier games: "Pinball Pool" (1979), "Hot Shots" (1989) and "Cue Ball Wizard" (1992 -- can it really be ten years now since this one came out?). Sometimes, in pinball, it was the simplest concepts that paid the highest dividends, and Gottlieb was more than happy to drag out another pool-themed pin to keep the coffers full.

Dozens of these outstanding classic ems deserve the JP/Bob5453/Scapino from Popotte/Greywolf graphic conversion from Future Pinball to VP, like they have done with DropACard, El Dorado, Fast Draw etc....

I love Eala's Frontier....I figured all those scores were vp8 btw Android smile.gif

Now that I have figured out how to play 4:3 tables in fullscreen with my WS monitor without it getting stretched I'm having a lot of fun playing the vp8 and heavily reel'ed tables again without having to be in window mode or fullscreen with everything stretched smile.gif
