Make sure you are using VP 9.12, and also make sure that you extracted the freeimage dll file when you had installed VP 9.12 on your system into the same folder that you installed VP 9.12 to.

Great table JP. Currently the one I'm trying to master.

Other than a few oddities with the balls getting stuck it works great.
I've tried adding a few balls (pressing B) and it seems like it has ball issues less often.

what else than the table and ROM LX7 SP1 do I need to run this? trek_lx7.rom, amongst others, is said to be missing from the rom file...

You only need this ROM.
Make sure to keep it in zipped format and not extracted when you drop it into the roms folder.

Press END key to open coin door.

problem is, end does absolutely nothing!

any way to change the binding of the keys or reset to visual pinball standard options? there's been some other cases of bindings not working since I installed the program btw, couldn't use c to start a new game for example

To answer the first part of your response.....

When you press the END key, you should see a message in the DMD saying the coin door is opened. It looks like this on ST:TNG:

Maybe for some reason the coin door was already opened when you loaded the table, and pressing end closed it. Try pressing end again to see if it opens the door.

BTW....the end key is not the key associated with the number 1 on the numeric keypad, (just in case that was the key you were pressing)

To answer the second part of your response....

In the editor, select Preferences->Keys to change the mapping of the keys. However, this may not work for some tables as the key values are hardcoded into the table script. (I don't think this table has those values hardcoded BTW).

Hope this helps.

since I'm playing on a laptop, I indeed only have the numpad end key - but I found a way around it (the windows screen keyboard or however you call it in English)

ok, now to a serious problem: the nudging for this table is too weak! I tried 2 other tables since I re-installed the game (Twilight Zone, X-Files) and both of them have much stronger nudging, so it seems nudging strength can be manipulated somehow... so how can I increase it to make the table playable?

Glad you got the end key issue resolved.

For the nudge issue you have. if you go into the script go to the keydown subroutine. You should find these lines in that routine:

If keycode = LeftTiltKey Then LeftNudge 80, 1.2, 20:PlaySound "nudge_left"
If keycode = RightTiltKey Then RightNudge 280, 1.2, 20:PlaySound "nudge_right"
If keycode = CenterTiltKey Then CenterNudge 0, 1.6, 25:PlaySound "nudge_forward"

I think the last number in each line is the force of the nudge, but I could be wrong. Try adjusting that value to see if it affects the nudge at all. If, however, I am wrong about this, I'm sure someone will correct me on that.

Yes, those are the lines you need to change, but the force used are the numbers in the middle, just increase the that value from 1.2 to 2, for example, and the 1.6 to maybe 3, that will give you a stronger nudge.

ok nudging works now, set tilt sensitivity to 1 but there's still a bug of some sort giving you danger, danger danger and tilt immediately after one another when it should give you only 1 warning, I seriously doubt it should work like that

hope it's clear what I mean ;-)

edit: and I have to press start like a dozen times before I actually can start a game even though skip startup test is enabled, very annoying!
