Hi Lord Hiryu,
Big thanks for the great recreation. I'm very happy with a lot of play and design choices. I have yet to test it thoroughly but these are my major gripes with the table after a couple of playthroughs:
- I can't make loops, they all end up in the bumper section at the top of the table. Making loops are essential to the "tank" mode and also play a part in the "friends" that are lit just above the flippers (Marion, Salah, Short End etc.)
- When the ball is auto-fired (for example after a ball drain with "eternal life" ball saver active, but also in the Well of Souls mode), it tends to drain SDTM immediately. Actually a lot of balls from the left loop tend to go straight for the middle, for example balls that come through the holes of the PoA.
- I had some balls jump of the left ramp when shot forcefully up
- PoA may be too slow
- Playing the 4:3 table it's a bit difficult to see the roll-over targets, nice solution though with the Theatre-of-Magic mirror thing

Great things about this table;
- Like the pace and action!
- Idol release is just right, can catch those on the left flipper with the right flipper up. Also good speed, not to slow, not to fast
- Shots to the middle area, ramps and mode saucer are easy to make, loops (with exception to the fact that they don't go around) and the targets are somewhat more difficult, great job of spacing shots
- PoA is beautifully made (although a tad slow)

All in all a big thumbs up. I think that only the loops (and how the ball comes from the left loop in particularly) are a gamebreaker for me, the rest is more a taste thing.

Looking forward to the next project!

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

Absolutley agree!
I noticed some other things:

-Sometimes the game did not register the left ramp (more often in "cross the bridge" mode)
-Cant get the PoA Extra ball (when get the ball to the hole nothig happends)

Dont get us wrong Lord Hiryu, the table is amazing. You did a very good job and i cant find the right words to thank you for making this table.

Thanks again

  • "-Sometimes the game did not register the left ramp (more often in "cross the bridge" mode)"

I third this opinion. Can you fix this bug Hiryu?

  • "- I can't make loops, they all end up in the bumper section at the top of the table. Making loops are essential to the "tank" mode and also play a part in the "friends" that are lit just above the flippers (Marion, Salah, Short End etc.)"

I've never played this table IRL so i can't say if the loops are as difficult to make as in VP9 version. But i sure as hell get frustrated for not being able to complete the tank mode as well... biggrin.gif

All in all i haven't found any glitches or bugs that seriously affect my gameplay. This table is fantastic! smile.gif

Thanks for another great table L.H. Looks and plays very nice. Hope you can tweak the issues mentioned, but as stated, it has many things that are superbly delivered.

The truth is that I am quite ashamed to always post about my problems with tables, but .. when I try to play this one I get the the following message:

'Line0
El objeto no acepta esta propiedad o método 'mSlingBump(...),SlingshotStrength)'

I tried to play it with VPinball908 and VPinball909 but the result is the same.

Any help?

This looks exactly like the script error that was discussed earlier in this thread. An easy fix is putting an apostrophe (`) before line 197 in the script. Don't forget to save the table afterwards.

OK, thanks, with this change in the script, the table work perfectly..., but I wonder:
Why does it seem that Bluto and I are the only ones having this problem, is that everyone else already knew how to solve this problem?...

Because the same 'problem' happened with a few other tables a year or so ago - february 25, 2009 -- http://www.vpforums....p;hl=mslingbump

The vbs files were updated to resolve that error back then, and the change is still in the current vbs set. But it comes down to invalid scripting - when the table is tilted it should be disabling the bumpers and slingshots on the machine. This way the bumpers and slingshots shouldn't animate when hit, when the table tilts, if they are animated normally.
However, vp can't disable a light, so the newer vbs files (from 2009) ignore the command if it's not a slingshot or bumper in the tiltobj array.
There still shouldn't be light objects in the array, as lights don't even have a hit event.

??

You need to sort out if you want the FS or the 4:3. You are posting in the 4:3 section with a typical FS problem.
