No hurry. You've got a lot on your plate. 'Sides, I still gotta do the plastics.

you are better to wait until he has built it then he can send you a blueprint and make the plastics to suit

that is looking pretty sweet trout it is going to be a nice looking table

That is looking fantastic. This is one of the few tables I had played in real life (before today's pinball expo), but it had very dim lights and weak flippers as well as some pretty bad playfield wear. Keep up the good work, the final product will be great.

Actually i'm going to use the blueprint from the table you were working from to build it so just match the plastics to that or if you would like draw them individually and i'll make the table texture from the individual pieces

I was just going to draw them how they are in real life, as much as possible! At least, I was going to cut them according the playfield layout in the manual. Accuracy is your friend. Though I think it might be better to not even cut them into shapes at all and just give them plenty of "bleed" area around the sides, so that matching the table objects exactly isn't much of an issue.

Of course, none of this REALLY matters. The way everything is sorted into layers in Illustrator, I'll be able to rearrange and recut the plastics anyway that's needed. And since it's all vector, any changes wouldn't result in any loss of quality.

Looking pixel perfect Trout and I'm looking forward to giving this one a bash, only ever seen the machine once in real life and the it was out of order. sad.gif

Also for all you Street Fighter fans if you really need a Street fighter fix before this great looking table is released, there is Street Fighter '1' a VP8 original table that you might like to checkout. wink.gif

That's an amazing redraw Trout, what export settings did you use in Illustrator to make the screenshot/jpg so sharp?

Anyway, sorry for not updating this thing more over the past week. I've done a little bit of work on it, but other stuff has become more important lately. I'll try to get more done in the coming days.

And well over a month later...

There's Honda, Lil' Bison, and Chun-Li's legs. I also began the soul-crushingly dull task of drawing in those stars. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm back in the saddle again. More to come.

take your time. I'll build this one in my next batch of tables, after the pinbots are done and strikes and spares is scripted.
After those 3, i'm going to take a short break and set up my pincabinet and convert all the plungers to work with the pinwizard/diy plunger kit.
theni'll start the next batch of tables: SF2, comet, SBM SE
After those it'll be TOM and TOTAN

good thing Gottlieb didn't come out with as many revisions of this SF2 table as Capcom did with the actual video game. Oh man We'd all have to be updating our Table to Super Street Fighter 2 X For Matching Service Champion Edition Turbo: The New Challengers by now

lol.

I can't wait for this table Trout and Unclewilly, gonna be so much fun smile.gif

Haha, seriously. Though I think Capcom missed the boat when they had their own pinball company in the late 90s. I mean, a Mark Ritchie 'Mega Man' or 'Street Fighter Alpha' table would've been amazing.

I'd like to, but I've got other stuff that'll be occupying my time in the near future. I'd absolutely LOVE to get a good "Junkyard" in production, but the available resources right now are so bad I couldn't even trace them. Most the text is completely illegible. I've tried taking pictures of it at Castles & Coasters but it's too dark for anything to come out. Might try again later though.

I think that SBM SE is Silverball Mania Special Edition.
