ok after further testing in 910 all of the slings died once again after i scored an extra ball in horse shoe eb mode, doh!

Hey Sabbat....

I can confirm that this does indeed happen.Happend when I got an extra ball, just as you said....Resetting the emulation does not seen to "fix" them.I had to exit out of the table then restart the table.

Yes, cupid, I just did that, just try the new version 1.2 smile.gif And thanks for your help in finding a "bug" with the sized balls which turned out to be my fault by making the glass height too low smile.gif

Just DL the new version. I think this is the first time I downloaded your version of this table by you, I can't believe it plays smooth here. You did an incredible job, I'd like the cue ball to feel heavier, but I wouldn't know how to go about that. smile.gif

Thanks for another amazing recreation.

Wow, Thanks, it plays great! I personally would not add the front ball image to the ball, since the balls seem to roll when standing still, but i like it how it is... I'll have a look at different masses for the balls, but i have a full schedule right now.

Oh... And Rascal found the bug about the glass height. I just spend some hours to find it (without finding)...

Thanks JP

Just now I think you can't make any ball heavier, all share the same settings.

I realize that and it is acceptable to me. I would imagine Rascal or the disappeared Steely could track the ball and slow it's movement with timers or something, but I'm always afraid that stuff will slow the game down for me or make it choppy.

Nono, mass should be not the biggest thing. In fact I just played it with a bigger mass of the balls ;-) ... I will implement this in some weeks, since i did not register the com field yet and just set the mass to the radius of the balls in my debug version.

Please don't mess around with scripts again... we just got rid of the 4 balls for one big ball hack...

Thanks for the update JP! The last version was one of the few tables that played choppy on my old computer due to the big balls, but this version plays smooth as silk.

Hi JP and all,

Smooth going this table, nice! Had a funny incident though with the white ball coming from behind the rail into play (didn't see how it got there, but I think it went off at the right end with a hard ricochet from a normal ball). I did keep it in play for a while but it wouldn't go up the ramp..... smile.gif I actually though I couldn't lose it too because it would be too big to fit between the flippers. But when my flippers went dead because of a lost (normal) ball, it skittered a few seconds between the flippers and then fell through. I guess this wouldn't be possible in the real table, would it?

JP, you could set a timer to one sec, and check if the y coord of the big ball is below normal. Then set it back to the initial position (or above the rail) (or destroy and kick again). This is not very accurate in terms of simulation, but playable. This would not occour, if the cue ball had more mass, i think (and would not get so much velocity). I saw some videos on the net and the cue ball seemed to have about 150% to 170% the mass of the ball. I played it at 220% as a test in my Dev VP and that was way to heavy. Setting the mass of a ball (for ball to ball collision) will be a feature of the next version, i think.

If the ball is hit by a normal ball very much, it would jump up - so it may jump above the the walls at the sides of the rail. With more mass this would not be possible so much.

BTW: i played about 15 games in 4:3/16:9 and the ball never jumped out.

before i download this, has the extra ball glitch been fixed yet??????

as in none of the slings or bumpers work if an extra ball is scored during horseshoe round, and maybe other rounds too.
