I forgot to ask this question this morning after testing last night none of the OGG sounds are working
Try in 10.7  = r213 and r196 & r258
Other games with ogg sounds are working

My sounds are now working
In VP sound  manger made in 10.7 was messed up but I still don't understand how other games could work and not this one but now they all work

How did you fix it? Id like to give it a try.

I´m using this vpx version (rc258) too and ogg files are working. No problem so far.

But: the backglass positioning isn´t working. All the backglass sounds are coming as table sounds. Maybe there´s something else messed up with this vpx version?!

Thanks for this nice table release JP :Worship:

Not having any issue here with it, set it to play backbox out of speakers, and table audio out of headphones (laptop runs them independently)
and it worked fine.
Will test it on desktop with 7.1 audio, when i have time to actually turn on my desktop

I love this table, and especially that you have personalized it. A new work of art.

Thanks JP for all your work. I learn a lot. Thank you Maestro!

Strange. Thanks for your testing ...

And strange too is: this is the one and only table with this behavior. All other tables are working as expected with backglass / table audio.

Try setting some of the sounds to table, and then back to backglass again?

set offending sound as backbox
push fader full to the rear position
retest, see if any change

Hi JP - thanks for such an amazing table!  I don't know the original but what you've made here is incredibly fun

A couple of things to report:

* I've had it get stuck in "choose your battle" mode, where left and right flippers are changing villains but you can't select one so it goes on until the next time you activate Battle and hit the scoop

* I've had mini-Deadpool get "stuck" in jackpot mode, where the 3 drop targets don't go back up, and you can score mini-Deadpool jackpots even though you're on a single ball. This continues even when you drain and go to the next player -- but at that point, the mini-deadpool is locked open and the lights flash when you hit the target inside, but you don't score a Jackpot.

* this might be my own problem, but it seems like choosing a Battle on your first ball always adds a second player (start button for both)

None of these are game-breaking, just thought you'd want to know :)

Thanks again!

JP,

For the last 15+ years you have given us so many incredible tables, and I would say to myself after each one "It can't get better than this"...and you continue to prove me wrong every time! Gracious Papa Smurf!!!

@kds70 : It is still recommended to only used wav files for sounds that are to be played on the table. If they ain't, they sound weird and sometimes even at the wrong location. Was mentioned only yesterday for the Maverick release. Confirmed solution, wav for table and you're good.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Yes, this was discussed before on the 10.7 beta thread :) And my table is using waves for the table sounds, and ogg for voices and music.

Seems maybe you have some kind of underlying codec issue or something.

You may want to try and resolve the actual root cause, or you may find yourself having to convert a lot of tables in the future

@wiesshund: i don´t think it depends on my setup. Latest JPs Ghostbusters Slimer uses music (ogg files) too and they are playing from the backglass position as they should.

very strange , i know ... :pokey:

Peter
