lol, this is all to much for me. I just want to dance. Yea I unfortunately don't know to much about this stuff.

So it's just a version difference? And I guess more importantly is exactly what version should I use?

It your install is working. Don't change a thing. This probably happens for a few of us - not all. So, lets see if the devs knows why this might happen and if there is a workaround/fix for the new beta. The whole reason for beta testing I guess :)

I'm just happy that we find these things.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

yet if you go back to post #25 in this thread it is showing for someone else as well.  weird

https://www.vpforums...e=2#entry419011

I get the same findings as Thalamus, ver5beta3441 works, 3448 does not.  3441 also works using all the newer files from latest .6beta with only the exe from 3441.  Darling also works on 3441.

I didn't change anything excepting POV and Env/day-night lighting and it works perfect with my setup (VP 10.6.0 rev.3556 /Nvida 399.07 /Win7 x64)

Hope it helps...

It seems my question was skipped over due to the 1/2 lighting issue, which I do not have on build 10.4.0 final v3286 (the table plays great and looks amazing).

Is there an easy way to remove the version warning pop-up that does not require updating to 10.6 beta..?

Thank you, any assistance here would be appreciated.  :dblthumb:

For what it's worth I am running...

Win10-64 (latest)

Intel i5-7400 @ 3.3ghz

Nvidia GTX 1060 (399.24) 3 screens

If you open it change something and save and then change it back and save it might remove the flag that it was made in a newer version (I think it works)

Just save the table with your VP version and it shouldn't happen again :)

Just went back to some old VPX - 10.4 final, as a random test gives correct light here now.

-- more checks 3448 ( beta 5 has this problem )

-- 3434 hasn't

Might be more versions in between ... just is just leftovers I haven't deleted yet. Downloading 3441 now.

Update : 3441 is the last one to work with complete lights, 3448 is broken - for me that is.

I've sent a heads up to the devs with a link here.

I think it's revision 3443 that breaks it. Toxie did a fix/workaround for non-bulb lights back then. I will inform him.

Version 1.0.1 is up everyone. Couple of fixes to the stand-up targets including sensitivity and physical characteristics that with a lot of testing i'm satisfied with. Also did a simple fix for the ball being able to phase through the VP pop bumpers. .

Going to stay with the same 10.6 version for now. For those of you that are having issues with LFire1 and LPower2 lights not working hold fast for some fixes on the beta in the near future.

I'm playing DT mode & tried to change the DT Image but cannot. All I have is a plain black image with the scores displayed on it as shown. I Imported another image, changed it in Backdrop settings, closed the table & changed the changes. But it made no difference. I've changes DT images on other tables & never had a problem. Any ideas why the image stays black?

Select by name "ItsFullOfStars" and un-check visible Then you can use any DT image you like.

Glad you like it brother, been playing it a lot myself. It's nice to be out of "testing mode" and just getting to play it. Thanks for the early beta testing and critiques btw. Was all very helpful.

I love this table release .. .thank you all involved :boxing: :lusty:

It´s a very heavy table; those outlanes ... does this setting in the script really have an effect (easy / normal) ?

The "Outlane Difficulty" option moves the right outlane's post in or out so yes, the ball will tend to drain more or less often depending on the state of this setting.

I do not have an image named "ItsFullOfStars" or anything that starts with the letter "I".

The default DT image is "starry-sky". Also I do not see anything labeled "visible" in the Backfrop menu. Is this located somewhere else?

Thanks

FYI enabling the reflect dynamic elements fixed the ‘fire’ and ‘power’ insert lights only showing half

It's not an image it's a primitive, easy as 1,2,3;)  untitled4.jpguntitled6.jpg

3rdaxis -

Thanks, that worked.

I still don't know how all this VP stuff works, but never had to do anything like that in order do change DT Backdrops. Is this something new with VP 10.6 beta that lets it add some new features?

Now that "ItsFullOfStars" is no longer visible in DT mode, how does that affect things in FS mode? I ask because I'm finishing up a mini-cab build & will be using FS and two monitors.

The DMD displays on the DT Backdrop & I can hide it. But initially I tried to re-size it & could make it larger but not smaller. Is that going to cause a problem when I display it on a second monitor used for the Backglass? Or how do I disable the minimum size restrictions?

Thanks

Brer Frog-

Great, it won't effect FS mode at all. No this isn't a new feature in VP it's just something I added. A primitive.

As far as adding monitors, DMD stuff I'm not much help sorry. I don't have a Virtual Pin machine I'm just on a desktop.

You could try sending Slydog43 a message if you run into a problem. He's the expert with that stuff.
