I'm glad that a fix is in the works for this table. It was one of the first I got, and am looking forward to playing it with the new ramps, as it is a very fun table to play.

Hello,

After reading all this, I am amazed at all the work that goes into building a table. Thanks for all the effort.

I do have one issue that I have not seen on another table (though I have setup very few thus far). My transparent ramps are quite dithered in appearance. From looking at screen shots and you tube video's- I see this is not normal. Anyone know what leads to this?

Thanks,
Matt

EDIT: UPDATE- after looking at a few other tables, it looks like I am getting it on a number of them, just did not notice it before (still setting up for the first time). I suspect it is due to incorrectly proportioned resolution, but not sure. I don't have a proper 16x9 option at the moment to test with. Thanks-Matt

you need to enable hardware rendering in the video preferences section
plus running at 1080x1920 res will make it look the best, that is if your system can handle it.

save and shut vp down completely reload and it should be better

Since some ramps, like the whirpool area, were shown really bad on my system (I cannot go further than 1360 x 768), I've tried to convert the ramps to alpha. I'm an absolute rookie in table edition, so the result is not spectacular, but enough for me.

I agree. It looks great to me.
And if the ball does not get stuck at the top of the left ramp, that would be a huge improvement.

I've used a pair of textures from JPSalas' TOTAN: one for the ramp itself (alpha, no cast shadow, apply image to walls) and the other for the border of the ramp (solid, cast shadow). Image Wrap in all cases. Try it!

It doesn't on the lower ramp. I've played only a couple of minutes, and I haven't been able to test the whirpool access. I presume it will work also fine.

Wow, those ramps look great. I noticed on my version at home the ball gets stuck on the left ramp way at the top too, sometimes doesn't make the turn as well... The table will be even more awesome with those transparencies and the ball issue being fixed.

Looking great! I never really started playing the old version (although I think I've tried the real thing few times many years ago...) because the ramps didn't look too good and in this table they cover so huge part of the screen.

Now I'm really looking forward to this table! So please release it for the weekend smile.gif

Can't wait for this mod's release. I am also having problems getting the ball up the left ramp and if this fixes it, it would make for a great weekend!!
