I think I might have found a bug. In the first version (? - see below) it was possible to switch lighting set-ups with Ctrl. This is no longer possible. However, when I change the lighting in the main program, it looks OK at first but when the ball is plunged and it comes out of the scoop and the flashers start, the lighting is back to a darker setting. I have tried earlier versions and I remember that you could change the lighting and contrast with Ctrl. or Shift (while you were not playing) (I am not sure which one it was...) but I could not do this anymore. Not even with the first version

But wow, what a great looking and playing table!

It would be great if you could have a look into this :-)

EDIT: Revised my post after finding out when the lighting issue starts

I cannot reproduce this in version 1.2, for me it works with the magna save keys. Is it possible that you changed the key bindings in the preferences > "keys, Nudge and DOF" menu? The LMagnaSave and RmagnaSave keys should be bound to something else than the Left Flipper and Right Flipper keys.

If that is not it, could you redownload version 1.2 and try again?

with version 1.1 my dmd (3th screen) is the normal orange color.

and the new version 1.2 turns the color black, so my dmd is almost not visible.

Is it possible its an issue from 1.2?

Oh dear - my mistake. I had changed the keyboard settings to make it possible to play with a controller. I did not think about the different keys for the magna saves that I set-up :-( Everything's working fine! Sorry about that! And again I can't stress enough how much joy it is to play this table!

I don't think so, the table does not do anything to the dmd, maybe you are using a directb2s to either 1.1 or 1.2 which obscures the DMD, or replaces it?

I am pretty sure this is not a bug, many people have played it, never heard this one before. Maybe:

- deleting nvram in : Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram\diner_l4.nv

- are you using VPX 10.2.1?

- are you using latest vpinmame?

- did you change anything on the table? If so, maybe redownloading version 1.2?

- I saw that you did not activate "cabinet mode" in vpinmame, maybe do that, see if it helps.

- are you using diner_l4 as the rom? http://www.vpforums....ds&showfile=948

I usually see this error when you reboot vpinmame after the table is loaded.  This occurs on tables where there's a physical trough.  I think the switches don't register so vpinmame doesn't see that balls are there.

Bit late, but I have to say how awesome this table is: insanely awesome!
Thanks flupper1 and everyone involved for this spectacular piece.
Wrong thread, but since this is the first table I tested it with:
Big thanks to the devs for awesome vpx 10.2 and latest vpinmame. Really nice how smooth everything comes together nowadays.
And thanks to the community for making all of this happen.

I'm a bit late too, but I'm blown away by how good this table is.    Probably one of the best tuned tables I've played physics wise (which I think I'm extra impressed by, since I was never able to get the older PM5 variants to play the way I wanted to).   It's also absolutely gorgeous to look at.    I've never seen a real fully restored and polished Diner before, but I bet it would look like this VPX!   The lighting effects are just wow!   Impressive but not excessive in any way.    A++, guys!

I saw a real Diner recently in excellent condition. Fluppers diner mimics the real thing as much as its likely possible. Yep, its that good.

Hello All, I'M first post Noob who needs help with this table. I get error at start up (Line 477 Variable is Undefined: 'DOFdrop Targets'). I have desktop setup, not cabinet. I'm using VPX 10.1 Pinmame 2.7. I know optimal setting for table is VPX 10.2 Pm 2.8 but post 15 in thread said he got it to work with 10.1.

Table has received excellent reviews and I Would like to try it even if not at optimal settings without having to upgrade to 10.2 as last time I tried to upgrade all my tables stopped working and I deleted and went back to 10.1.

Any help is very gratefully appreciated!

I think you have an out of date core.vbs file. I could have the wrong file, but that's what the issue is, a later .vbs file has more defined variables like Dof drop targets.

Is there any way to change the key to change Contrast settings? My magnasave button is the same of my nudge button, because my cab has few options and i use it a lot on black knight. Everytime i nudge the contrast settings appear. Lol.

Anyway this is mh favorite table of all. Amazing work by flupper and all involved!
