Indiana Jones is the cats pajamas! Played it a bunch last night. Looking forward to seeing your addressable led work.

I'm no help with your night mode issues... I didn't put an led in and don't have any trouble with mine... I'm using a momentary switch to.

Addressable LEDs do look amazing..  I didn't take any video of the whole machine running..  but it does look good. I've dismantled everything as I wasnt happy with the way the LEDs were mounted and also fixing up the Night Mode switch.

Here's it ages ago when I got one side working:

This is the cab about a week ago before mounting addressable LEDs.   I had problems with the night mode switch which has been solved. So just a few things to go. Right now it's in a semi dissembled state.

You need a piece of black electrical tape across for the logo of your monitor on your backbox :)

Actually remember, I have a clear translite that I'm putting Infront. The trim from that covers it. :)
Its sitting to the right of the cab there with green film still on it

After 4 mths, I received a package from China. Its a pair of LED  flashers. I plan to use these instead of a beacon. It kind of fits in with the Judge Dredd Police Theme:

Summer, and busy family time... not much done..

I've installed about 30 VPX tables and setup the PinballX front end.

Still waiting on another set of flashers to add to the top for a police beacon...  Put the Cabinet together as Pinball friends came to visit and check it out. (They have large real collections of games). I think they were suitably impressed. ACDC, Diner and TWD got excellent comments.

Here's a short video:

I decided not to get all light show -y with my cab, but I get a bit jealous watching yours.

thanks :)

I finally got the last of the Beacon lights from China.  I also lost a lot of interest..   summer is here and I've been busy with my other hobbies, and also with the family.

I managed to install a couple fans in the back box - had to find slower fans as my 2000rpm were very noisy. Used a 1200rpm. Its ok, but definitely helps with the heat from the 30" Monitor. I will feel better when I install the translite acrylic on the back box.

Well, I created a light bar for the beacon flashers. I figured it would fit more in line with the Judge Dredd theme. .. here it is below... I just need to screw it down and install the glass.. and the hardware build is done (for now) !!

Here's a nice shot of the machine and the light bar.

Just a quick note to say I installed the Glass in the Cab, and also the acrylic in the back box. It really looks and plays great :)

Here's some items I missed before:

My Home made shaker...

and I used a tangerine fruit box to cover it up!!

Lots of wiring!

testing the solenoids that I used for feedback..

I LOVE that my cab folds like a real machine

I ended up putting in fans in the rear to help cool things down..

Update:  During the build I had a lot of problems with "lag" in the flippers. I thought it was a software based issue as they seemed to fire perfectly fine in the Pinscape Input tester, but in game (VPX) they often seemed to lag a bit, and not even register a fast/slap shot. Yesterday I finally got around to putting in new leaf switches and it looks like the issue with the flippers are mostly resolved!  Very encouraging, and giving me motivation again on this project!  :)

thanks,  wow.. its been just over 2 years since I started thinking of doing all this.. December 2015..  then in 2016 I spend the year researching and buying parts ... then Nov 2016 started the build process. Lots of time spent planning each phase and waiting on parts from China!!   Many members of this forum and other online communities have helped along the way, and for that I am very thankful!

Its a shame that photobucket did what they did and we lost a lot of photos in many of the build threads online. I will try to go back and update this thread to make it more helpful to others .

What Photobucket did really messed up a lot of the build thread links I had saved for reference. On rare occasions I have saved a complete web page. Guess I should do that more often.
