I use an LEDWiz for my lights and for my solenoids I use the SainSmart to activate the flippers, I use the right and left arrows

The relay numbers used for flipper solenoids?---4 and 8

OK.  So the SainSmart should initialise as device #2 in DOFFX2 (you can confirm this by setting DEBUG=1 and looking at the log.  I will assume its device #2 to give you a setup.

DIRECTOUTPUTCONFIG=c:\DirectOutput\config\directoutputconfig.ini  (your location / file obviously)
L_FLIPPER_OUTPUT=204
R_FLIPPER_OUTPUT=208
L_FLIPPER_KEY=25
R_FLIPPER_KEY=27

Any RGB and LED devices will be 101 to 132.

You may well be the pioneer running a LedWiz and SainSmart combination with this tool, so it could be a fault too.  Please keep letting me know what's going on, and post your LOG and INI files if you get stuck.

Great news.  What was it if you don't mind me asking?

Now you need to move on from the flipper solenoids to the RGB's etc  :D

I'm not quite sure but probably something simple I missed the other day...

Yes I have some different buttons on the front of the cabinet lighting up and I have RGB's flashing and alternating when I use the flippers

Found some extra interesting stuff. When running forced or via processes bothonly light the cabinet lights in the front but do not trigger the RGB leds or the flipper contactors. In forced mode the moment I kill either Pinball Arcade or Future Pinball the RGB leds and flipper contactors work again. FX2 does not have this problem.

Grrr sometimes I should not be doing stuff at 2 AM... I forgot to run DOFFX 1.4 as administrator. This is why the moment Pinball Arcade and Future Pinball took over administrative control DOFFX was not working anymore...  SOLVED!

Random thought, but wondering if it may be "easier" to update the x360ce application to allow you to map the Left Motor (Big) or Right Motor (Small) to buttons. Right now you can enable them and define direction, strength and period, but if you could have it simulate a button push we could map it to another button on the LedWIZ, no? I use the word "easier" because I really have no idea :)

You're saying and thinking the exact same things as me. I already tried posting on the x360ce forum asking about this, but there is no response.

Maybe Vjoy could be made to work this way. Apparently they have rumble working. Same idea....have the force feedback activity output to a key / button.

Also guys...make sure that you "unblock" the DOFFX2.exe under "Properties", even when you update it. It may not work otherwise (I had issues with Windows 10 until I did that.)  This goes for almost any program out there.

FYI, currently playing around with two new options;

KEY_TO_OUTPUT_TIMER=

and

KEY_TO_COLOUR_TIMER=

As the names imply, they will allow a key press to turn on an output, or set an RGB colour, for a definable period of time.  I plan to use both functions for my Nudge buttons in Pinabll FX2, it will allow me to set my undercab lighting to Red, and run my shaker motor for a short period each time I use Nudge.  The basics were working yesterday, but then I broke it good and proper.  Back to it today, perhaps with some Olympics mixed in the background.

Oh yeah, and I really must get around to installing FP.  I finally got my cabinet all up and running with PinballX, VP and plenty of tables, then thought, time for FP and Pinball FX2.  Well I got well and truly side tracked on this!  Oh well, its all more pinball.s

Disaster has struck me...my middle screen / dmd/ marquee / 4th display monitor died (it was 10 years old).

So now I have to reinstall a new screen and rebuild my bezel and other stuff to accommodate it. Good thing I got alot of DOFFX2 down and configured for each system, as this setback will take a while.

:(

After reading the Pinscape thread...it seems we're both having bad luck...

I'm hoping I'll have most of the hardware done by Monday...hopefully...  the part I really hate is the "engineering" part where I have to measure and cut and measure and cut over and over again to get things to fit in what I already have.

I don't exactly follow an established standard for that middle screen area.... but at least I may get a better multi-speaker hole / flasher bezel out of it. Playing with DOFFX2 helped to think of doing that differently. Lets hope I have room for it!

I just bought a cheap 19 inch widescreen RCA TV that looks great for colour! I actually prefer TVs to monitors (as long as they have a 1:1 pixel mode, which this does) for something like a this because you have way more options to adjust colour, blacks, etc... and they tend to have good viewing levels.

At least I'll leave you alone for a while so you can finish your new updates before I pester you with new ideas....  ;)

bent98, are you running DOF R3 or R2?  I suspect R2 from that message.

Links can be found here.

No.

DOFFX2 gets no feedback from Pinball FX2.  It simply detects the keys you press (for the flippers) and allows running of lighting independent of Pinball FX2.

I'd love to do this so, feel free to add you voice to those who want some outputs from Pinball FX2 over at the Steam forum.

Ok that did the trick, but now when I start pinball FX i can hear contacts engage. The flippers work but its very laggy. I took a screenshot ofthe DOF FFX screen.
