Hi JP,

I have a full set of Black Knight plastics from Classic Playfields and I'm pretty sure I have the missing plastic from the screenshot below:

bk-missing-plastic_t.png

I can scan it at work on Monday if you want it for both Black Knight and Cavaliero Negro if you wish.

Best Regards,

Kruge99.

Yes, please :) I even didn't know there was a plastic there :)

Well it's not a very big plastic obviously, it has gone un-noticed for a long time in my opinion, and most people will not see the detail but not even the so called "Pinball Arcade" from FarSight has this plastic in there recreation!!  So once again we will beat them on two things, physics AND small details!!  :P

Best Regards,

Kruge99.

Thanks! I'll add it to the table. I have also got some new plastics, and I'll see if they are better and I'll change them too.

Updated the table, I simply added missing plastic, thanks Kruge99 :)

I also changed one plastic (top left) with a better image, I also enabled the mechanical plunger

So all the changes are more or less cosmetic :)

Thank you Krugge99 and JP for the update.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Quick question. Let’s say you lock two balls, then drain your third ball. Should the balls reset, or do they carry over into the next game? I’m finding that if I lock any balls and then drain my final ball, the next game will hold the previous games locked balls. Is this normal?

It depends I guess. On more than one player games you'll have the last call mode.

I only play one player mode. I’m just wondering. I can’t find a video of someone losing with a ball or more
Locked to see what actually happens.

Nevermind.  I found a video explaining how it all works, and makes perfect sense now.  Not sure how I was misunderstanding!   Anyway, can someone help me out.  My magna buttons are also nudging the table.  In preferences they are set differently, so my guess is they are in the script somewhere.  What am I looking for?

Was playing this in VPX 6 recently and noticed a significant increase in ball stuttering versus VPX 4. Any suggestions for updating this table to get equal performance in the more recent versions of VPX?

If hitting F11 shows high FPS but the ball still seems like it has a high speed jerky effect going on, sync VPX to refresh and retry.

If it is something else would need to know more about your hardware setup

I just tried playing again and it wasn't as bad. I may have jumped the gun on a non-issue, having not played this table in a while. I still see some stuttering on the ramps between platforms and when the ball first approaches the flippers. I guess it's a local issue. Thank you for your suggestion.

I got that on some tables

and i watched in F11, and i had way more FPS than the monitor had refresh
and it wound up being high speed shear and tear as the ball got shredded apart trying to update over 100 times a seconds to a screen that updates only 60 times.

Once i locked to vsync, it went away and was nice and smooth

What I've seen. But, admit, doesn't happen very often. Is that sometime you can load a table clean. By that I mean. No earlier open vpx, everything closed and still get ball stutter. If you exit and try all over it can magically disappear. I haven't been able to figure out any pattern to this, as it seems very random, and seldom.

UPDATE

4.0.0 Updated 10.9.2022
- Updated to my VPX7 physics
- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
- Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
- Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.
- Made the light inserts warmer.
- Added SSF sound commands.
- Some graphic changes, like the apron and the desktop letters.

I bought a new keyboard, I used to have a HP keyboard that was almost 20 years old, so I thought I should get a new keyboard, so I bought a gaming keyboard with mechanical switches, which has anti-ghosting, leds in rainbow colors, and it is as loud as a F16 or a tractor, and... it eats keystrokes! It is a deltaco keyboard dk310, so keep away from it. I had it connected to an USB2 port, and only half of the things I typed appeared in the screen. Then I connected it to a USB3.1 at 5gbits transfer rate... at it was better but still terrible. Now I have connected that to an USB 3.2 at 10gbit transfer speed, and it is ok, not good, but ok, I can live with it. So Williams became Willias :) I'll fix that.

Anyway the keyboard is very solid, well built, but it keeps missing letters when you type a little fast :)

The new update just fixes the name of the table :) So nothing is new, just the name Willias replaced with Williams :D
