One rule of thumb I always go by is if that credit dot appears on a WPC DMD, there is something amiss on the table.  Since you can't inspect the switches on the virtual versions of the tables the best resolution for this would be to delete the nvram and have it regenerated the next time you play the table.  Sure it would mean losing high scores and settings you have done in the ROM menu but that will fix the error (until that dot appears again) and the game should play normally.
