I have just played your LOTR 3.6 For about an hour and I can honestly say that the metalic effects  are the best I have ever seen on any pinball recreation.

Having said that, the lights on the table do not quite act as they should. On the FS version the lights off are in a different position to the lights on which makes for a very jumpy table in my opinion.

This may only be happening on my system as I know nobody else has reported it to you, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Wow an hour nice! Yeah, this table is really addictive. Thank you for noting that Toxy. Yes, the light fittings will come in the next update. ... and the Path of the Dead!

i appreciate the compliment Toxy, the latest edition up now, all new metal! (this one's going to hurt your eyes, still going to work the right wall a bit, but i'm too tired now )

BUt come to think of it the FS version did come out with better metal, it was actually a mistake which made it happen xD

 

i'll keep trying mate, it's really good to hear it when people enjoy playing the game!

This is it guys, the Big-One! TITANIUM EDITION, where all graphical issues are fixed, and the last of the major improvements are made. Lord behold V3.6!

Hahah, i'm revealing my vulnerable side here. This is just to show you how many failed attempts i made on the sword. Nothing good comes easy in the realm of LOTR! (Thankfully Japanese steel came to save the day! And luckily i still managed to get the genuine Aldurin sword hilt in)

hahah, i knew that was coming. it's the warm look right? kinda like toffee-caramel

Makes it look aged and fantasy-like. it really want to work that look in again, but i will be careful how i do it this time.

Just played 3.6... it looks great, nice angle and aspect ratio, and I like the balrog fire animation. Good work!

Balrog is definitely the star of the show! i honestly didn't think i would pull it off at first, this and creating the sword graphic were the two greatest hurdles for me.

Final release will include more fire when you have to challenge him, and i'll to try smooth it out some more.

Thanks for noting that, i pushed it as narrow as i could, any more and the playfield gets distortion.

If there are any plans for a FS update, could you possibly expand the playfield a little? There is about a 1.75 inch gap on the top of the PF that looks a little funny. The game plays wonderfully, I would just like to utilize the entire screen to give it an appropriate feel. I would put a pic up if I could figure out how the hell to put a pic on here.

Yes, the upcoming XL update will be released in both WS and FS formats.

Things are moving forward, we have a new extended viewpoint for the WS format. This is thanks to Dude2k who shared the link to the SteveOz table with me.

This shot also shows all the new metal guides, and the ball stoppers are now 90% done.

Ok, I agree with all;  that the table is extremely nice..... buuut, is anyone going to do something with the old ROM sound.  A nice fresh updated sound package would make this table the Ultimate LOTR table period!

Hahah man, shot for the words! Yeah definitely, i would be more than happy to welcome anyone who could help out with the sound. Also, if anyone is willing to work together with me for a "light-mod" for the table, that would be out of this world!
