@Talantyyr

These connectors are only available in USA. I had searched a lot of time to find them, or something similar, in an european shop, no chance. Because of DIN-rules here alle installation ist mounted on DIN-railes and not unisolated on wood.

You can get these connectors at digikey, for example this one from the TB200 series

http://www.digikey.d...rds=283-4025-nd

you may also need the jumpers for connecting two contacts with each other  (part# 283-4001-ND)

the delivery is very quick, only 5 days from usa to me. The postage fee is 18€ +19% tax

WOW! That thing is sweet! Did you end up building the boosters yet? What kind of glass was your final choice? Glad to be back.

If it ain't broke, it's probably a good idea to take it apart anyway!

I just post here to hear myself type.

Yep boosters not just built, but working!

The glass is toughened 5mm clear.  I placed it over the screen temporarily on the weekend - looks great.

Is the glass antiglare? Could tell me more details about how you went about building the boosters, after todays work, I may have to chill for a little while as both hands are numb at the moment and spent almost all day working on testfitting the cab, chech it out and let me know what you think.

Man that is one sweet machine!

Thx fhjui, but i think i'll go with the standard ones. 18euro for shipping is too much for some connectors that won't be visible. I thought these might be available in a german / austrian shop.

@DDH69, sry for hijacking your thread.

Man that is one sweet machine!

Not anti-glare, just toughened clear.

As for the booster, here is my circuit diagram with part numbers

1a4d9433b9151c8fb5a7f09c473c94f6_t.png

I built this circuit x 16 to boost half of my LedWiz outputs.  I placed 3 x CD4069 on a standard prototype circuit board along with the pull-up resistors.  I mounted the 16x MOSFETs on two pieces of angle aluminium.  You can see all of this in previous pictures.

By way of explanation.  The resistor holds the input of the inverter high until the LedWiz output turns on and pulls it low.  When the LedWiz pulls the input to the inverter low the output of the inverter goes high.  When the output is high the gate of the N Channel MOSFET is pulled high to turn the MOSFET on.  This allows the load to drain to ground.  Using a positive common design means that the wiring for the booster is the same as the wiring for the LedWiz board, that is common positive.  This makes it relatively easy to move items to / from the base LedWiz and the boosted circuit.

I hope this helps you.

It was a slow pinball weekend, had to work one day, and actually visited the real world on the other day  :P

I had a surprise Friday, my guy printing my artwork rang, had printed it all, was in town, and even dropped it to my work - wow that's service!  So now I have all my stickers ready to go nicely laying flat on my pool table.

This afternoon I pulled the beast apart, everything off so that I could clear coat the outside of the MDF ready for stickers.  I need a little water and detergent to apply the stickers and I wasn't keen on doing that without some clear coat.  That way it will stop the MDF absorbing the water and provide better adhesion.  Not my idea, the very helpful gent who printed them for me gave me a few tips for getting a good result.

So the next pictures I post here should be with artwork applied.  Time for @Stuzza to see another slightly customised (hopefully) success story.

My circuit for one key press on door open / close got built last weekend, but failed to perform.  I know why, I just need to pull it back out and fix it.  Perhaps next weekend, but the artwork will come first  :lusty:

From the hardware side of things I think I'm fairly close to done.  As I say, that door circuit and three mercury switches for nudging and I should be there.  As for software, VP is performing well, Pinball X running nicely, and FP now runs (thanks to some help here) it just needs more work on my part.

Can't wait to see the art on.  Yes, definitely make sure you prime/paint the mdf.  Looking forward to seeing the build.  Looks like your making good progress now.

This weekend!  I did some tests with scrap pieces during the week,  Ready to use some soapy water and stick them on - hopefully Saturday of the long weekend, at least 24 hours to set once stuck on.

Just saw your post on this thread while searching a DMD issue.

I am standing in front of my cabinet - fully built, with art, keyboard on glass, using IE on the backbox!

Picture of the art and finished product will be loaded tomorrow ...... must play pinball today!!

Lots of pinball was played yesterday, and I must say, some more to go on a holiday Monday today.  But before then, here are the photos (lots of them).

First of all, artwork going on, hanging over and not trimmed with the machine in pieces.

21f1c2095c0646d0daba1aeaefae3809_t.jpg5f6d3182e7e5684985d4c3130de90065_t.jpgeaa760128353c4ad42f23dcdfa271224_t.jpgdcb5e906b2b04d1cd20f3c3fcfd614f1_t.jpge1c5dcc7437815ba4605aa4784db48ba_t.jpg

Now to see it with the artwork on .....

80d155877cfa431fc8541b550787e6ad_t.jpg99a6d882afa098a81b282d96bf038502_t.jpga68ce37049e3729461a6f98e4a1ed4be_t.jpgfe8c7787369cb4b788c2c73db368200a_t.jpg626b0e8f18563dbcd6a4fbdb3dcf4c27_t.jpg6eb4c061b4f99129ef8a87560cf25b0a_t.jpg73fa89e4855995f0b09303568f587c6b_t.jpg

And now what its really intended for ....

951885819ad885c2fd3896d2c3331f74_t.jpg1e630b91855a09707982019f2a1ced6d_t.jpgd87f727c6bb7b6249584c92b2569852f_t.jpg0ffa0dd18291e7fbfdc77f370e96189e_t.jpg8e1dcbab085e86f5d7e7c4e4e5206534_t.jpg4270482f5cc460691cc314f6240a042e_t.jpg404fe3ffa0088498afcd3dea07710909_t.jpgfeba7f7f04435d2a4596fb91ae2300f0_t.jpg

I've got to say, very happy with the artwork (thanks Stuzza for the customisations), the print quality / material, and also that it went on so well.

I've got a few hardware things still to go, ie my door switch and nudge mercury switches.  Than I'll be tweaking the software more and more.  I've already started playing with scripts (why do I feel a long slippery slope developing here?)

Nice work on the artwork application. :)  Looks like it all went well. Print quality seems great.  The speaker grill came out good too.  Not too distracting from the DMD and backglass.  If you can email me the details of the local printer you used I'll keep the details for others who might need them.  Well Done!!  Great to see another art set on a cab.

One more thing sorted out today.  My door open / close circuit is now "pressing" the [END] key once as I open the door and once as I close it.

I then went on to break VP a bit, ended up with a R6015 "Pure virtual function call" error when playing around with vbs files.  No matter what I put back I couldn't get it to go away.  So I simply used TruImage to take it back to its working state last night - I love backups :love39:

I wonder if the door was shorting out something. I would really like to know more about those boosters, some ebay guy has a pack of 50 mosfets for 11 bucks, I could get 2 of those and the other stuff. That REALLY makes me want to play pinball!
