Lookin good!  I pick-up my "real" JP tonight after work  :dblthumb:  :dblthumb:   Got tired of waiting! <sarcasm>  Can't wait to see this one finished guys, excellent attention to detail so far!

Maybe you could take HD pictures of the Trex for me so I could maybe re-do the mapping one day with better resolution/quality.

No problem.  Would love to contribute something to this project!  I'm picking up the machine straight after work and will probably be obsessively cleaning it for most of the evening.  I'll get you the T-rex shots in short order.

Please see part way down this post for how to take optimal photos for the purpose of 3D modeling.

http://www.vpforums....=27964&p=268316

The current mapping is acceptable but I feel I could have made it better with better quality photos from more angles, so in all honesty I probably won't be updating the mapping prior to releasing this table update since I don't want to slow the project down any more, but I would like to re visit the mapping for a future update.

I took a look at the post.  So basically you are looking for several straight-on, top down, and from the sides.. correct?  I can do that, no problem.  I'll get some good lighting setup prior to taking the pics.   I'll upload them to dropbox and give you the links.

Yes basically, but don't be afraid to take pics from in between angles as well, I won't be opposed to an excess of photos.  Front, sides, top, back are the important ones.  Thanks

I think what dark is saying is he needs you to pretend to be a paparazzi stalking a drunk congressman leaving a titty bar or a Japanese tourist with 4 fresh cameras and five minutes before the end of the Graceland tour!

You are welcome!

If you check the first post you can see the to-do list is narrowing down as I've been keeping it up to date with our progress.  I'll guess early to mid November.

I'd like to have everything on the to-do list done, which isn't too much more before handing it over to Jimmy, but yeah I don't see a problem with releasing before BMPR gets added.

Just an FYI, but. I see "add shake/nudge" in the notes. On the real table the shaker motor is a feedback only. It does not impact the ball flow. Shakers in general do not impact the ball. Therefore, the shaker going off should not generate any nudge events.

Ive reduced the original effect of the shaker motor. Now it only slightly shakes the dinosaur on the lower right and only vibrates the ball if it is resting against something

In a real machine, the ball wouldn't even vibrate if resting on something. For example, you can hold the ball in the flipper and the shaker can go off all day and the ball doesn't move at all. It's purely a tactile experience just like force feedback in a game controller doesn't cause your character to move on screen, ever. If you care about accuracy at all, the shaker should be considered like a sound effect and should have zero influence.

Well I won't argue that, but I will explain that the reason we thought this was the case was because in a video you could hear the Trex roar and the pterodactyl shook/vibrate.  I guess this could of been coincidence and maybe the player nudged the table at that time although it didn't appear to be a nudge.

Well on the jp i played on a weekly basis at the national pinball museum in baltimore. The captive ball would most certainly vibrate when the shaker motor was on.
But i can most certainly remove the code if that is what you would like
