I only can say -wowww :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap:

All this is so awesome! Is there a to built in the bam.dll for face tracking like kinect or ps3-eyes and 3d. the oculus-rift is future music till november. I woud miss the cool 3 d settingins by rave. :otvclap:

The ball feeling is superb. Can I exchangel the joy.dll with another one for ps3 or xbox 360 gamepad with rumble suport?

Thanks louizou, worked a treat.

You're welcome ! Hope you'll enjoy this old school baby   ;)

Ok, thanks. Got it working. Getting 30 fps. Tried disabling things but fps doesn't go up.

Mmm. I mentioned earlier in thread of 25-30fps with win8 but win7 is 60fps. Only thing different between the two OS is the gfx drivers & the win7 is quite an old install.

I did not say it before, but Windows8 is just a big bull shit !

It's so amazing I just had to donate!! Thanks so much guys this really is an amazing piece of work!

I vote that Unit3D gets its own section on the vpforum boards!!??  :otvclap:

Thanks to you man, and all others donators, the main goal is near thanks to your generosity  :dblthumb:

You got my vote too !

When launching Unit3D Pinball.exe by double clicking the exe in Windows explorer, I just get this:

Extractor
(X) Impossible de trouver le chemin spécifié.
OK

Then a small, blank window with "Extractor" in the title bar. Closing this closes the entire application.

Are you running on XP? We did not test and I think we will not support it anymore (as did Microsoft :)): really long to test/maintain on every system, really sorry.

I do have this too and I'm running Win 8.1. Looks like this isn't a XP behaviour. I have removed the U3D folder and unzipped the whole package and tables once again but the error message is still popping up. Any ideas?

Had it one time and the tmp folder within unit3d was missing. Dont forget to go on properties on the extractor.exe and check that the file comes from a different computer ...

Oups , sorry about that , i think it's our fault !! Really sorry ! We were a little bit stressed !

Great work guys!

A couple of questions for Unity3D running on my Cab:

1. I can't seem to launch ball on Addams Family.  SS and IJ both launch OK with "Enter" button and with plunger.  Credits get added OK and the start button works fine but for the life of me I can't launch the ball. The flippers also work fine. Am I missing something?

2. I have a real DMD and speaker panel in my cab. When using B2S with VP the DMD/speakerpanel can be hidden.   Is there a way to do this with Unit3D? The Translite looks very messy with the duplication of DMD.

1-This is really strange as the plunger code is normally the same for all the tables.(Let me some minutes to answer to eveyone and i'll verify that).

2- Not at the moment, we think about ot for a near future

Still haven't tried on my main pc, but before I do I have a couple of questions:

If I use this version will I be able to convert one of my tables fully, or do I need something else.?

Can I just write the script in notepad and save as script.cs?

I still need to examine the scripts for one of the tables already done to understand what I'm doing. ;)

I plan on doing these tables first as they should be easier ones to start with:

Simpsons Data East

Star Wars Data East.

If/when I get them done someone would need to tweak the physics for me.

GLXB

EDIT:

Also BTTF.

Another question, The way I understand how this works, I assume I can add higher poly models and higher res gfx to the fp table and even though they wouldn't work very well in fp they should be ok in Unit3d?

Hi martin,

with this version you can't convert FPT to UPT. Unity3D and source code is neede to convert the tables. It is a unity limitation, we can't build scene at runtime.

One day we may share this to everyone, but not at that time.

But you can launch an FPT table with this, if the script.cs is in the same folder as the table, it will launch and behave as if it was an UPT table.

You can of course use notepad to edit your script, but it is really easier to use Monodevelop as i said to chepas, so you can get code assistant when creating a solution in it.

If you need more explanations, i'll give you the necessary help.

And if you  need help for these two tables physics, i'm your man, i love them so much !! Reading this news makes me thrill  :yahoo:

For high poly models, you can do what you want but testing in FP may be difficult.

For textures, it depends on the hardware used , but in theory it can goes to 8192*8192. Be careful with this , ATM we use mainly 2048*2048 textures and i think it's already nice as is.

No BAM at the moment, but using kinect or other VR devices is one of our new priorities ;)

If your gamepad is handled in windows config panel that should not be a problem, no need to replace anything.
Personally , my cab's plunger is based on a PS2 gamepad and it works very well.

Thanks, yes I realised you can't make a utp file. Just wanted to make sure I could make a working table with what I have.

2nd donation for your beautiful work :otvclap:

Good choice for the indiana jones table :dblthumb:

Your website is very nice and practical.

Is it possible to have the french docs (user and editor docs)?

Is it not very faster to use Google translate instead of maintaining two languages/docs?

Personally I would rather have them spending there time on improving Unit3D and not doing docs/translations.

Thanks to all donator, it's really a pleasure to see your interest in this project !

For the doc, i was thinking about it !
I have lots of friends that are not easy with english and have trouble with installing it.

Put in my personnal TODO list.

I won't do it this week end as my double challenge is to script Qbert and build Baby pacman in 3 days  :tongue3:

Yes hotdp, that's just a question. Maybe Louizou or Bilbox have a french doc :) .

I think as you, it is necessary to spend there time on improving.

Merci Louizou

I've tested it, no problem on this table! Did you try to make some modifications inside the script ?

If not try in the input window to bind another button to the plunger..

I did not say it before, but Windows8 is just a big bull shit !

lol.

Just had a few playable games on indy with the WIn7 build. Fluctuates from about 48 - 75 fps but this is more than fine. Nvidia driver is 314.22 if anyone is interested.

I might have one more go at trying to get the flippers working without pinmame, but the time adds up each time you're loading resources and failing, adjusting script, fail. Probably will pay to be that extra more patient and wait for some guide!

Small correction, not our fault , the folder is provided with the release => if you didn't deleted it that confirms what i said about windows8  :throw:

I've seen that the translite from IJPA is not the best. Here is the best quality available, I've done this some time ago (including speakerpanel):

https://www.dropbox....s Translite.psd

Another thing I see as a big problem: On a cabinet the DMD is on 2nd screen in Unity3D. So VPM displays the DMD on the 2nd screen. But as soon as VPM shows it on the 2nd screen the values for the x and y coordinates in the registry are altered. So as soon as using VP again, the DMD is not on the right position on the 3rd screen.

I hope that the DMD can be placed on the 3rd screen in Unity3D some time, so that problem mentioned above will be fixed...

For class of 1812, you need a specific nvram file indeed, you got it here:

http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=1362

For the additional dmd, i got the same here--> BUG List

Oups, that's my fault: I saved with my testing configuration: the DMD is on the far right of my 1920 screen (and flipped!). The workaround is to open the Config/options.ui.puo and to delete the line

<additionnalGuiDMD stretchMode="ScaleToFit" rotation="90" fliph="True" flipv="False">1896,475,554,215</additionnalGuiDMD> (At the end of the file).

Save and relaunch: you shoul dsee it in a better place :). Sorry.

Nop, rumble will not be supported as it is not DirectJoy but Xinput: not compatible... honestly, rumble is fun but not for pinball ;). The joystick input should behave correctly though...

Read the docs:

To save the transform modifications you made, click on the "Save modification Transform" button.

This will create/overwrite a modified_trafos.xml next to the table file.

Thanks, but I was just making sure that would work with an Fp file as well as a upt file.

Well, I'm only loading FP files here too. Trying to decipher the classes. I can't really test for sure if it's saving the changes as it should.

Was wondering if the materials.xml is only needed with a .upt. Loading FP table resources auto generates this in memory?

http://webcache.goog...en/classes.html

Probably going to give up again soon, it's fun trying to be a code detective for half hour or so, then gets boring.

1. It appears the 'show no playroom' option is not being respected in Indy and Scared Stiff*.  Possible to get a complete black background on these tables that have bypassed the default playroom setup in FP?

*I'm pretty sure it was SS, not at my UP computer at the moment.

2. I have two monitors on my desktop (not cab), when I launch a table it is drawing on my secondary monitor not the one I want (fake fullscreen).  Is there a way to force it to the primary via the configuration files?  In mame we use something like \\.\display1 to force to the appropriate screen if they're not enumerated properly.  Thanks -
