just noticed your tv doesnt quite fill the width of the cab mine doesn't either how are you going to fix this with an apron?

QUOTE (bladexdsl @ Aug 6 2011, 11:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
i measured the tv and gave exact measurements etc.

So did troy get your measurments wrong? I am confused as to how there could be a gap then?

QUOTE (bladexdsl @ Aug 6 2011, 11:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
i'll just get a block of wood for the apron at the front as for the for the gap. as for the gaps on the side i'll spray paint the sides of the glass so you won't see it tongue.gif

Least you have got it sorted.....

Going to hook them up to an Arduino board Bladex and program some code to do a heap of different sequences. Its open source hardware and there are heaps of forums to get help on the code.

Sorry to jump back to this but looking at the pics, if the tv had fit in without a gap, the lockdown bar would have been too wide. It's usually the lockdown bar that determines the width of the cab, the tv can always be masked off to cover the gaps.

Just my 2 cents, yada,yada,yada....

Yep thats why I went the custom lockdown bar. Make the bar to suit the cab leaves less band aiding at the end.

Going to get a drink hold for the leg though. Not having my beer spill when I am doing my best to tilt the machine. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I got a drink holder, too. I grabbed a PinGulp from Pinball Life. Looks like a well built product, and was reasonably cheap.

Totally agree. For the extra few bucks a custom lockdown bar costs, I'd rather minimize the gap as much as possible.

You could always use a beer sippy cup. No spillage, from tilting or falling over. smile.gif

The side leds look nice.

Goes at the front edge of the top plate at the rear of the base cab. Holds and trims the rear edge of the playfield glass.....probably why they call it the playfield glass rear mould.....

if that's the case than the dmd monitor is gonna be in front of it cos it drops down meaning the glass won't interconnect with it?

Gee Bladex. Getting me confused here. Thought I must have been accidently posting on your thread for a minute....

Anyhoo, gave the Arduino code a nudge today to try and get some of my sequences going for the LED's
Used Pixelmagic's code that he did for Granter's BOP cabinet a while ago as a base and built on that.
Certainly no guru, but if anyone is thinking doing a similar setup, here is the code that I have done.

There are no doubt beter ways to code this, but as brute force goes, it works.
Will up a video of it going when I finish tidying up the cables.
