As only UW Knows i have been working a fair bit with this new feature with jaw dropping results.
Please if there is any more features available I would love to know, as what i have learnt so far is one of the best things i have seen in vp
I will release a demo table soon to show off this cool looking feature.

must it be an alpha ramp that does the actual lowering? messing around with that slider in vp9.1.2 in this tower I noticed no matter where it is the ramps still look like they are acrylic and not true alpha transparency like they never get more solid looking at all. would the ramp still show up and work correctly in my tower? I have yet to try a demo and must leave soon for a 3 hours drive and can't toss it into a table atm. but would it still work if it shows up as an acrylic?

Phil, your flashers are freaking sick.
Farlos, yes only alpha ramps. The ramp texture has to be transparent for
It to show. So say you take a solid blue texture in gimp, make it 65% transparent.
In photoshop you would slide the opacity slider to 65%, not sure of the procedure in gimp.
Then save it as a png.
Load thy texture into vp9. Set the transparency color to 123:123:123.
Now apply that texture to a ramp and check the alpha box. It should be semitransparent

it's the same procedure it's even named the same thing! it's a slider in the right side of the editor for the layer! okay thanks for that, a png huh? Must be a vp9.1.2 thing as I don't remember the earlier versions being able to handle png's! I'll try it that way as checking the alpha box atm does nothing to change the texture of any ramp whether acrylic or alpha... Thanks!

well I just tried to dump the ramp into the MJ wip I have and had to reverse both x and y and shrink it to get it to fit, it worked in my stand alone table but going into another table well there are the ramps numbered 1 through 8 and i think I got the table ramps renamed so their is no conflict, but now it won't operate. ah I'll look at it again, I did a quick table before I left and now I am home again I'll look at it to see if I can't get it working in there. my ramp would open facing the player and is much narrower too so it is much different than what he has in that demo here he just did. and of course it's me and most things do not work their first time out with me! but it looks cool and if someone else can get it to work in their pin that'd rock too!
