What other tables used Spike1?

GB is probably my fav game at the moment. I always end up playing it, and for longer then I should lol.. An updated full legit version would be so cool. The GOT and the wrasslin games would be cool to. I never tried the wrasslin ones..

The top-ranked EM table on ipdb.org Top 300 list is Gottlieb's 1958 table Sittin' Pretty. I don't think it's out there in any VP form.

Dont know how good it is, but it is legit

 

I did it was ok.. SPA gave me nothing but grief. Not the games really just the system they have for buying and unlocking tables.. it really sucked, but Stern refunded and straightened it out surprisingly nice. Good customer service.

I think thats what Thalamus is getting at..  Spike 1s are now old enough and been out of production for long enough at least thats the current understanding.. Either way a GOT and WWF would be great additions when they are allowed

 

EDIT: I get what you mean now, the Stern PC game could screw that retail rule.. IDK.. judges??.. we need a ruling on this one lol

I don't know many that are able to code the stuff anyway. Toxie probably could, SAM came from a dude I never talked to over at VPU, so those guys do exist. JayRayFox ... etc. My understanding is that there is a quite significant change between Spike1 and the current Spike2. Spike2 is "node" based. Can almost be described as small computers connected together. Spike1 isn't and I'm pretty sure that titles like Primus which comes from the Whooah Nellie is just Stern, getting rid of old surplus boards. Still, even those titles are over 3yrs now.

Well see, they have given exclusive license to (Zen isnt it?) reproduce the tables in a PC version
I think that licensing, which basically perpetuates it as a retail offering in current production kind of makes the waters muddy

What about a game like Frankenstein, its available in a PC game but also on VPX.. so maybe the retail "rule" is applied to just real tables?

It was done in VP8 in 2002 or thereabouts by Robair, and not been looked at since. It's on a list of VP8's of the same ilk I posted a few months back.

I love the current Champion Pub by the great mfuegemann, but I think it could use an update physics and visual-wise.  I know that Pistol Poker is in the works and I am really looking forward to that one as well!  And of course, the Spike 1 tables whenever that is emulated
