xxx + click to move on axis  (or selected control point) would be wonderful to have.

Is that what you do with the arrows?

Great discussion guys.

Seems I find myself constantly having to group and un-group collections during the normal course of making a table. This could be to set physics across multiple rubbers or a lighting setting across lights.

Let me throw something out for consideration. What if there were a "selectable" option that when selected, forces all "grouped" collections locked? Then, one could un-group the collection and that would therefore unlock the collection. Still would really like the ability to group/ungroup from a right mouse click menu.

"Meh" on possibly being able to group/ungroup with a right click:

Right click on object

     Add/Remove collection

          Collection X

               Group/Ungroup

2 Mouse clicks

Table

     Collection manager

          Collection X

               Edit

                    Group elements together

                         OK

6 Mouse clicks

Seriously! :stunned:

Time is money in this business. :)

did some tiny tweaks again yesterday, this should now be as good as it gets (and without increasing load time too much).

especially 4xSSAA now looks insanely good.

Thanks! lots of new smoothness.  I did over an hour of optimizations/testing with my 1060 and found that MSAA is damn near indistinguishable from SSAA but with MUCH better performance.  ~80fps better.

No. It is in the VPX Video options (in the Preferences menu).

I'm with JP.  I just don't have the "group" option checked in the collection manager.  Then you don't accidentally do that.  If I do want to select the collection, I just use the select drop down.

-Mike

How do you select all items in a collection with the "select dropdown"?   Do you mean the pop-out window that's only useful for objects that are low on an alphabetic list?    This must be why I see collections named "aGates" and such.

Is it possible to add a "select this collection" button in the collection manager, or add collections to the select elements list?

pretty sure that's what he means.  If you turn off layers it only shows what is visible, useful for making the list smaller.  that pop-out window does span monitors also and mine frequently runs onto the second.

I agree adding collections to the Edit, Select Element menu would be a good thing to have.  or a similar one for just Edit, Select Collection which might actually be nicer.

rev3421 is up:

- add collections to search/select dialog
- always render static elements at highest detail level (latter only applicable for rubbers and ramps)
- block other processes stealing the focus in exclusive fullscreen and disabling mouse cursor

When running in exclusive full screen, the mouse continues to be disabled after playing a table and exiting to the editor. Closing the editor completely re-activates the mouse.

I have troubles with the Image Manager

Every time I want to change a backdrop or an Environment Emission Image, VPX crashes

But I found a solution, if I import a backdrop, it's in Table mode, and if it's an Environment Emission Image, it's in Backdrop mode, and it works

I don't know if it's "normal" but it's the only way I found for VPX not to crash

I run Windows 10 with the last VPinball and VPX versions

Hope it can help someone !

Fuzzel, thanks so much for all the visual polish lately: rendering at high detail, anti-aliasing refinement, etc. Love it!

Can you list the steps you're taking exactly to cause a crash?  I can't reproduce this.   If i'm in the Backdrop mode, with the backdrop visible, I can even see the image change in the editor as soon as I replace it with something else.
