new/final 9.2.1 feature by DJRobX: rev 923 adds the secondary/backglass sound output for music and all samples that are special flagged (see sound manager)

I don't know for sure if this problem is due to this build but my 3 displays went blank a couple of times this evening. They came back when I exited the tables. I have only had this since installing build 922.

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with the latest versions of Bram stoker Dracula  and pinbot, the Game resets itself.I have tried most latest vp versions. Anyone experience this?

I have redownloaded the games and roms.

Any help appreciated.

after some tests it may not be related to the version of VP.exe [still would like some help if anyone resolved this] but Champion Pub is. It has a blacked playfield from version 921.19 onwards.

Thanks,

Webster

BSD is a WPC game - the reset of the rom during play would be a long-standing bug in visual pinmame.  It can happen to any WPC type game (STTNG, Scared Stiff, Junkyard, etc etc).

It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

Is there a documented list of bugs? Curious if anyone on pinmame team will address them?

champion pub looks like it has a major problem with 9.2.1, DX9 5a looks ok.

HI Destruk,

How do we fix BSD and same issue with Pinbot, start the Table and after a few seconds it keeps resetting? Game wont start properly and cant get to play it at all. Does this every time.

Thanks,

Webster

not 100% sure but when that bugs happen, try and reset the rom (F3) and if that doesn't work, you may need to delete the nvram.  YEs, that would mean the loss of high score, but maybe someone else can confirm before you do so.

...you may need to delete the nvram.

You could also just move the current nvram file from the nvram folder to see if it works, and move it back if it doesn't, that way you don't lose scores and settings unless you have to.

HI Guys,

Tried this (nvram) but it made it worse? Now rom does not even display "Testing...

What else can we do?

Thanks,

Webster

*Fixed by setting the games to use L6 roms - don't know why??*

When the rom comes up testing, you usually just need to reset it via F3 and it does the trick, basically it's giving you that testing error until an nvram is created.

Koadic: yep that is usually the preferred step, or I just rename it to romname_backup so I can just rename it afterwards

Most of the bugs are in bugs.txt in the source code.

So how far off is the final dx7 vp9.21
And any idea how far off the vp9.3 dx9 compatibility build is

I think we are pretty close releasing vp9.21. Don't know when Toxie gets enough time to pack everything together maybe this weekend?

For the DX9 version Mukuste could say something about that but I guess we have to wait a few weeks yet.

Sorry guys, I've been overly focused on the DX9 build.  I appreciate all you've done for the 9.2x stream and you guys deserve some testing efforts and continued recognition.  Will put the latest build through some tests on the weekend.  Thanks again for those other additions to the collection manager main screen sorting and that really cool feature for adding objects straight from the table (will really help in BMPRizing some tables - and hopefully getting them / their desktop alter-egos released).  There was something about the new flash object rotation that I think was mentioned and resolved but I'll double check that one as it was on my to-do list for things to try.

Pertaining to the following issue:  http://www.vpforums....=26714&p=256927

As many use multiple VP's due to compatibility issues and the use of a front end, would it be possible for some options such as Fullscreen vs windowed fullscreen to be configurable via a .cfg file?  IE: the setting can stay in the registry but if a .cfg or .ini (maybe with a naming convention matching the version number) is present, the cfg/ini containing this and other settings would supersede the registry.

Just a thought...
