I'd like to know what is going on just cuz I'm curious as to what caused it & how to fix it. I may not be the best person to answer that. Maybe one of the pinmame guys would be of more help since you already did the only things I can think of.

That's confusing. It works for me, so I don't know what would cause your issue there.

+1 here, since i washed all the nvram folder (and reinstalled the gottlieb needeed pack) to enter the "VP competition", no more table sounds (even if bumpers, flippers, ... are working)

shutup1.gif

EDIT :

ghoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooost should be !!!

the "use sound" in vpinmame was uncheck... but i dont touch this since the last install of the last version of vpinmame, and was working (i think last week i played amazone hunt) BEFORE erasing the nvram few days ago...
not sure if there something logical in there !
btw, sounds is back, so simple as that whistle.gif

now lets attack Sabbat Moon hi-score whtflag.gif

Long time ago i had this problem and and it was solved in another topic with help of Destruk but couldnt easely find this solution now that it happened again after a fresh install of VP here.
Searched a little and found the needed topic. This time i add the info here too so next time my memory fails i can find it in the support topic.

In my case it is caused by the fact that two tables Amazon Hunt and fast Draw both use the same rom and Fast Draw disables the sound.
The solution was to add a line tot the Amazon Hunt table that always enables sound.

Sub Amazon_hunt_Init
With Controller
.GameName = cGameName
Controller.Games("amazonh").Settings.Value("sound")=1
If Err Then MsgBox "Can't start Game" & cGameName & vbNewLine & Err.Description : Exit Sub
.SplashInfoLine = "Amazon Hunt

Robo
how about a vp9.x FS version with a UVPBG and a hidden=x for 1 monitors.
lost some graphic images in the rotate for FS.
the top bumper lanes and the pops lost something.
need to do the import thing.

@RealA... If/when I do an update I'll add that line of code to make sure sound is forced on. I wasn't aware about the Fast Draw conflict since its just an EM table, now I know.

@ chas... As for FS. I thought somebody had offered to convert this to FS, but they must have chosen not to bother, as it will take a little more work than the average table. I don't play FS at all, so I'm not of much help with all that.
However, keep in mind that I started working on this table like 6 years ago, long before VP9 or even VP8. I did a few things on this latest version to make it a bit more VP9 friendly, but I could certainly do much more.

One thing is that the reason you are likely having issues with the bumpers & lanes... those are backdrop reels & decals, used in a few other spots as well. Yeah there was a time where this was a normal thing to do, yet nowadays people see these methods & may not understand why they are used. Or they can cause issues when changing angles or to FS, & not know why.

Perhaps I will do an update soon though. Try a different method for making the bumpers. Eala has a nice demo that shows how to make photo realistic bumpers, but that are also angle independent. I might give that a try. Even though using reels/decals for bumpers is a bit outdated, it still gives the best results at least for FS. But since even desktop authors are going out of their way to make their tables FS friendly, I'd like to do the same. Hopefully Eala's trick works well enough, cuz I really don't like how VP bumpers turn out when using only VP objects.

This table also uses those odd Gottlieb lane dividers, that pyramid type shape that is also hard to duplicate in VP. When I first worked on this table there was just no way to do them up nicely other than using decals, but with VP9 & ramps, I might be able to come up with something that works.
Then there is other stuff (some posts, bumper posts, lighting, targets) that all use overlays.
So an update that will allow for an easy FS conversion might be a pretty huge update. Visually it might actually be inferior, though it would be user friendly. I might even keep this current version available for download, & making the more angle independent version kinda a separate version. Cuz desktop users might continue to prefer this version that is more photo realistic.

For now, yeah a basic FS conversion like you would do for most tables probably won't give good results, it could get really screwy, so maybe don't even bother unless you want to put some extra time in. But if nobody wants to wait around for a new version from me, anybody is welcome to try to convert this for FS.

Robo #48
the images for the pops and upper bumpers that did not rotate were on the playfiled in the center as a decal image in the backdrop option window.
moved them out of the playfield.

i have not got around to it.
if i do the import thing on the bumpers and pops for the missing images will it work?
other than it plays fine in the vp9xxFS rotate.

Dedrok
the vp9FS version is great.
all the authors are very talented.
interesting to see what each author can do with their own unique creation.

Not sure what your problem entails & I'm not familiar with FS at all, but again it might be confusing the way I built stuff like the bumpers. Again, this was built in a time where there was no FS & angle independence didn't matter. Anybody else who wants to try to convert this can.
However, I will be looking to update it to make the whole table more angle independent, which will also make a FS conversion very easy, hopefully.

>>>>>>>Not sure what your problem entails <<<<<<<<<<<

after the rotate some graphics and plastics on the upper bumper lanes and the pops did not rotate.
they were still vertical in the playfield.
moved them out.
its not bad.
plays fine.

The table plays great, thanks. Unfortunately, I am not seeing the drop targets. I am using VP ver. 9.9.1 and VPmame 2.5. Any thoughts?
