OK for the mini pinball machine its looks like its gonna have to be normal flippers and ball. No problem just not super accurate.

It would take a lot more work, but perhaps for Future Pinball, the mini-playfield could have an animated overlay to play back flipper hits and ball movement. You could have your keycodes to change the flipper graphics in the overlay, and use a timer to move the ball based on frame position. With the table dimension sizing limitations of the editor, you can't make the upper playfield bigger without blocking visibility of the table, and you can't modify the ball size or ball graphic to cheat it. Or, just leave the upper playfield operation out.

Have you tried makiing the flippers smaller with the model importer? I was sure that you could...

... or I guess small flippers with a regular ball might not be good....

If you're using normal flippers and ball, then the ball won't fit through the Lois/Chris loop, and the ball won't fit between the flippers. And it won't fit between the tiny dead-sling bumpers and the border of the mini playfield. I faced the same problem reproducing the layout in VP, and it works because the ball can be faked to be smaller.

Neat. I would love to see how you would code that.

With a lot of non rendered triggers. So you know the x and y coordonates, can calculate the speed and play with overlays or (more easy, less hard to be exact) with a toy (a mini ball, for example). When you hit a bumper, a target, ..., you simulate the _Hit, the rebound, ... Good and nice scripting exercice!

Les cons ça ose tout. C'est même à ça qu'on les reconnaît.

I'm heading up to Marvin's in a couple of days. I'll get you great shots of everything that I can for this table. I'll even photomerge those shots with the playfield you are currently using to sharpen it up for you.

Are you doing Family Guy in VP then?

The mini playfield will just have to be different in my version. I know it sucks but thats just the way it is.

Really? That's nuts. I wonder how many other Sterns are just sitting around on hard drives, waiting for the day when Stern starts using a new software platform.

Oh hey!

I just found this long lost future pinball table I was slowly working on!

As you can see mine is in the early stages, but I have compared the ramps (the red one) and
Mine seems to look a little more like the one on the real machine, so if you want advice on how to tweak
it a little, I can help you (or unless you want to keep yours that way, since it is your table)

Anyways, Here's how I did the ramp:

NO START MODEL
END MODEL: RampEnder05-1
AND FOR EVERY RAMP POINT: I put a left guide, a right guide, and a half loop (you can put the guides on by right clicking the point and clicking special attributes)

Hope this helped!

P.S. Should I try to continue my version? cause he is doing a very fine job! laugh.gif

You've had a stripped playfield for this one for a while... how about sharing it. Do you have any other stripped playfields for any recent games?

Thanks,
wtiger

Well, the playfield I had was one I found on this website long ago, Which I don't even remember which site it was,
I had to touch up the playfield just a little bit to make it look pretty good. And no, unfourtunately I don't have any newer playfields, although I will keep out a watchful eye and tell you f I find something good.
